One Contestant on the New Season of ‘The Bachelor’ Was on Another Reality Show
When the last season of ABC’s The Bachelor ended, fans were already counting down the days until the next season. Season 24 premieres January 1, 2020, and we’re slowly learning more about the upcoming season.
We already know that Bachelorette alum Peter Weber will be handing out the roses, and now we are getting a peek at the lucky ladies who will be trying to win his hand. ABC has announced a list of potential candidates and for one of the women, it looks like this won’t be her first appearance on reality TV.
Season 24’s leading man
After much speculation, ABC finally announced that Peter Weber would be season 24’s bachelor. The 28-year-old California native was a fan-favorite during Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette. Weber made it all the way to the final three before losing out to Florida contractor Tyler Cameron, and ultimate winner, Jed Wyatt.
After seeing the spectacle that ensued during and after the show’s finale, it’s safe to say that Weber lucked out by being eliminated in week 9. Not only did he avoid the back and forth after the show’s end, but he also preserved his right to be the next bachelor. This time around, Weber’s hoping to find his true love.
What do we know about the women of Season 24?
So far, ABC has not released an official list of the season 24 contestants. As of now, the official ABC page only shows Weber and host Chris Harrison as cast members for the upcoming season. However, ABC did release a list of women who might make the show.
The list features 33 women, including a former Miss United States and a former winner of the Price is Right.
Fans are already gravitating towards Alabama native Madison Prewett. Currently, Prewett’s claim to fame is her win on The Price is Right. Prewett won $8,000 playing a game called “Put it in the Bag,” where she had to put groceries in the correctly priced bag.
What else do we know about the Alabama native?
Cosmopolitan Magazine recently cyberstalked, ahem, researched, one of the Bachelor hopefuls and was able to learn quite a bit about the brunette beauty. Prewett is a recent college graduate. The 23-year-old graduated from Auburn University with a degree in communications. Before that, she attended seminary school at Highlands College.
Prewett filmed a video about why she chose to go to seminary school. She said that she always had a connection with her church and that church was a place she would go to escape the business of the world.
When she shot the video she said that the Lord spoke to her and that she knew that ministry was her God-given purpose.
What about the other contestants?
Not much else is known about the other potential contestants besides the states where they are from. We do know that the women come from all over the United States, with two potential candidates hailing from Canada.
While the Season 24 hopefuls come from all across the country, there are noticeably more women from Texas, Illinois, and California.
For now, all we can do is wait and see who makes the final cut. Will Prewett be vying for Weber’s heart come January 1? Given the amount of attention she is getting before the show, we’d say it’s unlikely that she won’t make it to the premiere.
As for the former Miss USA, we’d say she’s a shoo-in as well. As for the rest of them, according to Cosmo, the final list should come out sometime in early December.
