While fans are concerned for Manning’s emotional state, the actress assured them that she “alive and well” but is now completely done with fame.

Manning recently slammed OITNB for not caring about her

For the past six years, Orange Is The New Black has touched many of our hearts with its open and raw portrayal of the lives of female inmates.

While this show has changed many people’s lives for the better, one of its cast members feels like the show has pretty much ruined hers.

Taryn Manning who plays inmate Tiffany “Pennsatucky” Doggett in the series took to Instagram on July 26 to speak out against the beloved Netflix series.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, Manning wrote that the “show hurt me more than anything has in my life” and said that “not one cast member cares about me.”

The actress’ post addressed a wide range of topics, from human trafficking to racism, before explaining that her “life was stolen from a criminal who’s mentally ILL,” adding, “No one cares to help so I am dedicated to learning how to make a difference.”

Though she did not name OITNB, she did mention her time on the Netflix series.

“This show hurt me more than anything has in my life and if this is what I have to do to push what I stand for I will,” Manning continued. “I have to speak out before anything happens to me. F— fame! This show hurt humans. You will never truly know but many were hurt!”

Manning then went on to slam the acting profession and claimed that she doesn’t have an interest in working in the industry again.

“I do not need to ever work again in this town. I’ve been dropped by everyone for having a backbone. I was dropped because a person terrorizes me daily and them too. So my team, they just turn away. Like a car accident. Rubber neck but don’t help. F— show biz. A disgrace.”

She ended the post by writing, “Not one cast member cares about me. Just watch.”

The actress blames the show for cybercriminals

Though this post came as a shock to most, others have been concerned with Taryn Manning’s well-being for a while now.

A few days before Manning’s most recent post, the actress shared another lengthy post earlier in the week.

In the post, Manning explained why she was missing from the Orange Is the New Black red carpet for the final season premiere and even gave a shout out to her fellow co-stars.

“I love you all so much. Have a great premiere [sic] tonight. I love this photo. I miss you all so much I wish I could be there. Unfortunate uncontrollable circumstances that no one could help with have made it this way,” she wrote.

Manning then went into detail about the cybercriminals she’s had to face over the years that has caused her emotional distress.

“When someone is crying for help from someone who is after your life and soul. Please listen,” the actress continued. “No one deserves to have another person single-handedly ruin their life to the point they are paralyzed and never leave in fear.”

With OITNB having released its final season, there is no telling where Taryn Manning stands when it comes to the future of her acting career.
