If there’s one duo on TLC who get a ton of love, it’s Adam and Danielle Busby. They’re the parents of the only set of all-female quintuplets in the U.S., and they also have an older child, Blayke, giving them six daughters altogether. We’ve been watching the Busby family via OutDaughtered for years, and it’s hard to believe the quintuplets are already 4 years old. And a ton has happened over the years regarding the kids, Adam and Danielle’s relationship, and their living situation.
On the last season of the show, we saw Adam and Danielle move their entire family into a rental home after discovering mold. And fans are wondering if the Busbys are back in their original home after an Instagram post.
Adam and Danielle Busby discovered severe levels of mold in their home
Adam and Danielle are busy enough each day taking care of six children — but their entire lives were turned upside down when mold was discovered in their home. People reports one of the quints, Ava, came down with a severe respiratory illness. And it was after that that Adam and Danielle brought a mold inspector into their home to deliver the bad news. As Danielle said on the show, “The whole upstairs seems to be covered with mold and it’s really bad in Ava and Olivia’s room, so my stomach is turning over because the numbers are like, astronomical.”
For this reason, the Busbys had to move out of their home and into a rental home. While the rental home wasn’t exactly what Danielle and Adam were looking for, it seemed to do the job and appease the kids, as it also came with a pool. And the Busbys were expecting to move back into their old home within six months of evacuating from the mold.
The last updates on the house didn’t look promising
The Busbys remained hopeful that they’d one day get to move back to their original home, but the updates fans saw didn’t look too promising. “We’re still living the life of the molded home and still in transition of whatever that means, and we still have not settled on what’s happening with our old home and where we’re living now,” Danielle told Good Housekeeping back in July. Danielle also mentioned that while she’s used to the temporary home, she misses her “big kitchen” and knows it’s “a give and take on lots of different things.”
In this recent OutDaughtered clip, we also see Adam, Danielle, and Blayke visiting their old home — and it’s clear there’s a ton of work to be done. “Our house right now is just completely unrecognizable. Everything is wrapped in plastic and taped up and they had to rip out the carpet and the baseboards,” Adam comments. “I really thought that it’d be further along by now.”
Fans suspect the Busbys are now in their old home again
We haven’t heard many new updates on the mold-infested home, but fans seem to think the Busbys are back in the old house given what Danielle just posted to Instagram. “Saturday Dinner for Champions…or kids,” she captioned this post of all the kids eating dinner. And fans think their location looks a lot like where they used to live.
“Are y’all at ‘the sick house’?” one of Danielle’s followers questioned. Another one wrote, “Yes looks like the sick house. So adorable all of them.” Yet another added, “Looks like your old house?”
Others noted that the home is still most likely the rental, as the rental had the pool and all the kids eating dinner look as if they just finished up swimming. But if the Busbys are back in the old house, we’re sure we’ll hear about it on the new season of OutDaughtered coming this October!
