TLC fans adore OutDaughtered, as the show follows Adam and Danielle Busby as their six daughters grow. The couple is in one of the most unique child-rearing situations many have ever heard of, too. Not only do they have six daughters, but five of them are quintuplets, which gives them the only set of all-female quintuplets in the U.S.
Fans probably remember when the Busby quints were just babies, but they’re all growing up fast. While Blayke Busby is now 8, her five little sisters are 4 — and all the kids are getting easier to tell apart because of their changing looks and personalities. It seems Riley is known for her incredible intelligence, too, as she’s the only one of the quints who’s already moving up to kindergarten. Here’s what Danielle and Adam recently posted about the child.
Riley Busby’s known for her high level of intelligence
All OutDaughtered fans have their favorite quint, and Riley is certainly one of the most notable and adored by viewers. Adam and Danielle have commented before about her troubling behavior, as she’s always been one to act out. But it seems her high level of intelligence may have something to do with it, too. After the quints were evaluated in preschool to see where they were in mental development, Riley’s scores were absolutely off the charts.
The owner of the preschool shares Riley’s test scores in this clip, and she explains that while the average score for the test is 40, Riley accomplished an 84. “If we can get her to scoring about an 84 on test three, I want us to really look at putting her in the advanced placement class, which is a really big deal,” the preschool teacher went on to say. “I don’t know if I can handle a smart kid,” Danielle laughed in the clip. The mom also added, “I’m starting to wonder if she’s bored and if that’s why she always acts up.”
Fans questioned why she was in a higher-level class than her sisters
Those who don’t watch OutDaughtered and only keep up with the Busbys online may have been confused by a recent Instagram post from Adam and Danielle. The couple added a photo of all the girls on their first day back to school with the caption, “First day of school! Blayke 3rd grade. Riley kindergarten. Ava, Olivia, Hazel, and Parker upper rotation Pre-K. Let your light shine bright girls!” And many questioned what was going on with Riley already entering kindergarten without any of her sisters.
As one fan commented, “wow riley is going to kindergarten already?!?! i’m guessing she’s very very bright! [sic].” Another excitedly posted, “Riley is in kindergarten? That’s crazy! Congrats to her, that’s so big!” And Adam also responded to a few fan reactions. According to TV Shows Ace, he added, “It was a learning experience for us and it’s been positive since we chose to separate them. There ain’t a manual for raising quints.”
Danielle and Adam just created new posts about Riley’s schooling
In addition to the Instagram post about all the quints, Danielle and Adam created their own separate posts just about Riley’s big day. “Boy oh boy! How my morning routine for dropping Blake off at school are different! Riley Paige gets to ride with us every morning now since she is in the private kindergarten class at the Quints school and goes everyday [sic],” Danielle captioned this post of Riley in the car.
As for Adam, he added a sweet photo of Riley sleeping with the family dog. “First day of kindergarten in the books and she CRUSHED it! So incredibly proud of this little kid. When she wants something, there is nothing going to stand in her way and she is right at home forging her own path. My MIGHTY pint sized princess is going to be something great one day,” he captioned the post.
There are still plenty of questions surrounding Riley’s separate path, but the Busbys are taking things one day at a time. We’ll have to wait for the upcoming season of OutDaughtered to get even more answers.
