‘OutDaughtered’: Adam and Danielle Busby’s Daughter, Parker, Made a Major Decision for Herself
We’ve been watching the Busbys on OutDaughtered for years, and we’re officially fully invested in their family. Adam and Danielle Busby are the parents to six little girls — and five of them are the only set of all-female quintuplets in the U.S. All of the kids have grown up on-screen, and we’ve adored watching them grow into the smart and independent children they’re all becoming.
There is one child who Adam and Danielle seem the most concerned about, however — and that’s Parker. Parker is known for her extreme anxiety, and she panics when faced with new and unfamiliar situations. She just made a major decision for herself, however, and fans are ultra-proud.
Parker Busby has serious anxiety
All of the quints are developing their own unique personalities. While Hazel is independent and sweet, Ava and Olivia are the goofiest of the bunch, and of course, we know Riley is the smart troublemaker. Parker, however, seems to have trouble keeping up with her sisters due to her extreme anxiety and panic attacks. As Danielle said on the show, “Parker hates new things and being in the spotlight.”
Adam and Danielle have even taken Parker to see an occupational therapist. “Parker is sweet — you can tell she is shy,” the OT told the OutDaughtered cameras. “When I would ask her questions, she really wouldn’t respond. She would look towards her parents.” While the OT did eventually get Parker to warm up to her, it took a lot of additional guidance from Adam for the child to ever feel comfortable.
Parker decided she wanted to get her hair cut short
Adam has his own It’s a Buzz World YouTube channel where fans can go and get a behind-the-scenes look at a day in the life of a Busby. And Adam posted a clip on Dec. 8 showing all of the quints preparing for a big day with the hairdresser.
“Parker, how do you want your hair cut?” Adam asked her.
“Short,” she answered happily.
“You’re gonna cut your hair short? You made that decision all by yourself?” Adam asked again. And Parker nodded.
“Parker’s been asking for her hair cut short like Blayke’s,” Adam told his video camera. “She loves Blayke’s hair, she loves how short Blayke’s hair is ….” Adam then went on to explain that because Parker’s hair is so fine and straight, a short cut may help “spark growth.” “So, we’re gonna let her cut her hair short, so it’s gonna be a big change.”
When it was time for Parker to get her hair done, all of her sisters surrounded her at the hair washing station to show their support. And when the cut was finally done, Parker was all smiles as she looked at herself in the mirror and put her fingers through her new ‘do.
Fans are loving Parker making decisions for herself
Fans were quick to comment with their thoughts on the video — and everyone had very positive things to say about Parker’s transformation.
“Parker’s smile after her haircut says it’s all!” one fan commented.
“Parker smile was the cutest after her haircut! She melts my heart when she’s dealing with anxiety,” another wrote.
“It was so cute when all of the girls stood with Parker while she got her hair washed and I loved to see her big smile at the end. I love you new hair PK,” yet another added.
We’re excited to see more photos and videos of Parker’s new hair cut, and we’re happy to see just how much she loves it! It’s definitely a good sign that she’s making autonomous decisions for herself and that Adam and Danielle are allowing her to make these decisions, too. Go, Parker!
