‘OutDaughtered’: Adam Busby Just Called Out Another Follower Who Claimed He Doesn’t Listen to Danielle Busby
There are plenty of parents featured on reality TV, but few are as wholesome as Adam and Danielle Busby. Adam and Danielle are parents to the only set of all-female quintuplets in the United States, and they have another daughter, too, which is six daughters altogether. The whole Busby family is featured on TLC’s OutDaughtered, and we’ve been watching the couple navigate life with so many children for years. They have tons of fans who understand how much they have on their plates — but despite the support, they still receive backlash.
Adam Busby has proven he’s unafraid to clap back at some of his rude social media followers, however. And when a fan recently told him he doesn’t listen to Danielle, he offered his own snarky reply back. Here’s what happened.
Adam and Danielle Busby have had their differences on the show
Adam and Danielle Busby seem to make the perfect team to take care of their six daughters, but that doesn’t mean they don’t disagree at times. More recently, there was some tension when it came to Adam’s job. Adam was given a job offer for a lucrative new job that would have required the family to relocate to Dallas, Texas, and Danielle told Adam he should turn it down. So, instead of taking that job, Adam instead chose to take a different job offer that didn’t require the move — but Danielle still expressed disappointment, as she wanted Adam to discuss it with her first.
Fans rarely see Adam and Danielle quarrel, so this was difficult to watch. But the couple has weathered other issues and divorce rumors in the past. We can’t forget that when one Twitter user asked the Busbys if they were divorcing, Adam tweeted back, “Guess you will be a lifelong @TLC viewer. The D word isn’t in our vocabulary. I love my wife more than the day i said ‘I DO.’ We are the real deal.”
Adam just called out a follower on his Instagram who talked about his marriage
Adam and Danielle may be confident in their relationship, but they’ll still clap back at rude fans from time to time. Recently, Adam took to Instagram to share a photo of Olivia, one of the quints, on the beach. And a follower wrote, “Not listening to what your wife is telling you isn’t a good look for you.” We’re guessing the follower was referencing the job disagreements Adam and Danielle discussed on the show before, but Adam wasn’t having it.
Adam wrote back to the follower, “hating on someone on social media for something you saw in an edited television show isn’t a very logo look for you… guess we are even,” and he added a winking emoji and a clapping emoji at the end. His fans seemed to back him up with this response, too. One wrote, “well done Adam! I am SO frustrated with how they edited the premiere when those of us who follow you regularly know that isn’t a daily thing.”
He doesn’t think anyone should be critiquing their parenting, either
Not only does Adam comment back to his individual followers from time to time, but he’s also made blanket statements regarding his biggest critics. He and Danielle recently talked to People about the occasional shame they receive.
As Adam said, “people are looking at our photos and looking at our posts under a microscope just to find out what they can criticize about it.” He then added, “It’s crazy. And I don’t know what it is. Is it just to mask one’s own insecurities so they can have this persona online that they have everything together if they shame another mom? It’s really bizarre. … It’s just crazy that somebody out there is criticizing us about something they have no idea about.”
No matter how much viewers and critics think they know about the Busbys, it’s clear Adam and Danielle know what’s best for their family and six children. And we’re happy they continue to share their lives via OutDaughtered even if it means Adam has to call out certain followers from time to time.
