‘OutDaughtered’: Danielle Busby Reassured Her Fans That She Loves All of Her Kids Equally
The Busbys on OutDaughtered recently finished their latest season, but Adam and Danielle Busby are still keeping fans informed on what’s going on with their lives. We know the Busbys became famous for having the first set of all-female quintuplets in the U.S., and with their older daughter, Blayke, that makes six daughters altogether. Unfortunately, like all reality TV stars, Adam and Danielle receive some flack from viewers. But they’ve proven they’re unafraid to clap back when necessary.
During a recent interview, Danielle talked about life lessons she’s teaching her girls — and she also mentioned that, yes, she does love all of them equally despite what some others have said or observed.
Danielle Busby believes it’s her mission to share her family’s life with others
Danielle and Adam Busby have been on television for years, but in a recent blog post, Danielle reflected on her decision to broadcast her life on OutDaughtered. She’s never had aspirations to be a TV star before. But after having the quintuplets, she knew she was given a gift that others could learn from if she shared her experiences. Danielle truly believes it’s a calling from God that she’s on television, and that’s why she continues with the show.
“Even though it has been years of this type of life, I still can’t get used to it. … There are so many people who think the life of a reality show is just ridiculous and full of exploiting your family….and …. well frankly, that’s partially true!!” she wrote on the blog. “It may be hard for you reading this to understand…and quite frankly, it is still hard for me to understand and it is still hard for me to accept it. BUT God is using us, all of us, to share His glory. I don’t necessarily care to have this public life, but you know what??? I do it anyway because we all have a purpose ….”
The Busbys have been criticized before for giving one child more attention than the others
With so many young kids around, it’s hard for Adam and Danielle to give attention to all of their children equally. But they certainly do their best, and they’re even starting to see their individual personalities emerge. Unfortunately, it seems some viewers think the couple expresses favoritism when it comes to the quints.
Fans have stated before that they believe Hazel, who is known as one of the sweetest and most innocent quints, gets more attention than the others. “Is it just me that noticed or does or seem that Danielle and Adam favor Hazel over the rest of the quints …. Anytime Adam comes home from work all you can hear is ‘hazel basil’,” a Reddit user stated.
Not only that, but others have criticized Danielle for reprimanding Riley, who’s the smartest and most mischievous quint, more than her sisters. “I don’t even want to watch the show anymore because of Danielle’s treatment of Riley and the way she talks poorly of Riley behind her back,” a Reddit user wrote.
Danielle said she loves and treats her children as equals
Adam and Danielle know they’re being talked about by fans, and they addressed a few issues during an interview with In Touch Weekly. “I 100% know my heart and my love for all my kids are equal,” Danielle told the publication. “I may not get around to posting ‘enough’ of something … but since when is love based off of how much we post on social media? I feel like people choose to ‘see’ what they want and they base their response off of what they are dealing with in their own life.”
While it may seem like Adam and Danielle put their whole lives on display, there’s clearly a lot that goes on behind the scenes that viewers don’t see. But it’s obvious that the couple does the best they can in raising their six daughters. We can’t wait to see what the next season of OutDaughtered has in store!
