An ‘Outlander’ Fan Posts a Hilarious Goodbye Letter Before She Hibernates to Read the Books
If you’re a fan of Outlander, you might have read the books before watching the show. And if you’ve read the books, then you know it takes quite a bit of time to get through all the books in the series. One Outlander fan decided to take the suggestion of other viewers and read the books before the new season starts. Here’s the hilarious letter she posted on Reddit.
Not every Outlander episode was a hit with fans
You probably think every episode of Outlander is great, but some viewers would disagree. Although Outlander is popular among Starz viewers, there are a few episodes fans didn’t like very much. According to IMDb ratings, fans rated “Crème de Menthe” (Season 3, Episode 7) the worst Outlander episode so far.
The Outlander cast is doing quite well financially
Fans might have a gripe or two about some of the episodes, but most still watch the show faithfully. The Outlander cast works hard, and their bank accounts prove it. Which Outlander star has the highest net worth? As of this writing, Tobias Menzies is the richest Outlander star. Menzies has an estimated net worth of $6 million.
This Outlander fan posted a seriously funny good-bye letter to her family
One Outlander fan decided it was necessary to write a letter to her family before diving into the books. She knew it would be a while before she finished the books, so she composed a message for them explaining her absence. Here’s what she posted on Reddit:
So now here I am, stalking the UPS guy like my kids watching for the ice cream truck. Was the complete book set really necessary? Yes. Yes, it was. Was the $5.99 for same-day delivery necessary? That was probably a little excessive. But facing a lengthy absence from reality, I must say my goodbyes.
To my husband: I don’t know how to say this, so I will just come out and say it. I’m leaving you. For another man. A Scottish man. From the 18th century. I love you, but you’ve seen him. You understand. To my children: I have to go away for a while. I have a loooong journey ahead of me. I will miss you all so very much. Who am I kidding? You will be asking me for a snack as soon as I sit down. Survival of the fittest my babies! Mommy’s out. (kidding. I promise to feed and water my children.)
To my sleep schedule: Well… I’ll miss you most of all Scarecrow. It’s been a good ride. But, priorities. And finally, to those who recommended the books: Thank you for extending what is proving to be a semi-unhealthy attachment to fictional characters. I’d almost feel bad about it anywhere else. I’ll see ya when I see ya. Hopefully, sometime before the new season begins. If the new season ever begins. Ever.
