‘Outlander’ Season 5, Episode 11 Preview: ‘Journeycake’

Season 5 of Outlander is heating up and fans are calling for more. There is now an all-new promo for episode 11 of Outlander. Read on to learn more and see what’s coming in the upcoming episode. There are spoilers ahead.

‘Journeycake’

The promo starts with Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) comforting Ulysses (Colin McFarlane) after he kills in defense of Jocasta (Maria Doyle Kennedy). He’s clearly on the run and it doesn’t seem fair considering he was only saving Jocasta’s life from Gerald Forbes (Billy Boyd) when he was attempting to smother her with a pillow. It’s hard to believe that they can’t find a way to cover it all up. He appears to be living somewhere in the woods away from prying eyes.

“Ulysses, have you given any thought to where you might go next?” Claire asks him.

“Now that I’m a murderer?” Ulysses inquires. It looks like he might have to leave the area to escape the law.

The American Revolution approaches

It sounds like the series is gearing up for the American Revolution to take hold. “The mood in the American colonies grows darker by the day,” Lord John Grey (David Berry) says.

Next, a man speaks about attacks in the area. “We’ve had word of violent attacks,” a man says on horseback. Claire can be seen going through the debris of a burned structure and they find a man in need of medical attention. Claire will of course try to help him the best way she knows how, but will she be able to?

“We can protect ourselves,” Young Ian (John Bell) says to someone. Who could he be talking to?

“I feel a storm coming,” Lord John Gray tells Jamie. It’s an ominous prediction for the future in the coming years.

Marsali is in danger

Marsali (Lauren Lyle) has come a long way and she’s certainly not someone to mess with. It sounds like she’s going to face danger in episode 11 as well. She tells her son to hide and stay hidden. “Stay there, no matter what happens,” she tells him.

Will Jamie light the cross?

We next see Jamie running across the North Carolina wilderness towards the cross. Will he light it? It looks like he might in the next episode, or at least contemplate doing it.

Claire gets an unwelcomed visitor to her home. “What’s the meaning of this?” Claire says as a man wearing a British redcoat comes in and stabs someone, presumably Claire’s patient. What will she do? Will she fight or will she be unable to save this man? It’s yet unclear, but it looks like Claire will be facing some real danger in the next episode.

Episode 11 is going to be action-packed and full of danger for many of the main characters. Will they come out on the other side of things unscathed? Check back for the latest information on season 5 of Outlander as we learn it.
