‘Outlander’ Season 5: Will Jamie and Claire Fraser Renew Their Vows?

The fifth season of Outlander is on the horizon and fans can’t wait to catch back up with members of the Fraser clan. Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) are finally together again and are living in North Carolina. The next season will follow the next book in the series, The Fiery Cross, written by Diana Gabaldon. Is there a chance that Clare and Jamie will renew their vows in the new season?

The upcoming season will follow the next book, which just so happens to hold two surprise weddings. Many fans think that one of those weddings will be to legitimize Brianna (Sophie Skelton) and Roger’s (Richard Rankin) marriage. They were already wed in a handfast ceremony, but they’ll want to make things more official now that they have a child to raise. But that still leaves room for another wedding.

There will definitely be a wedding in the new season of ‘Outlander’

The cast hinted at what’s to come while speaking with Entertainment Tonight at New York Comic-Con. The members of the cast were asked about the weddings that are featured in the fifth book. Maria Doyle Kennedy, who plays Jocasta Cameron, revealed that there will in fact be a wedding to come. “There’s definitely a wedding,” she said.

Heughan, who was also there, admitted that she was right about that. “Yes, there’s definitely a wedding,” he revealed. Could the wedding be a renewal of vows between Claire and Jamie? It sounds like a possibility to hear Heughan tell it. “Maybe we renew our vows,” he continued. “I don’t know! Maybe! Who knows?”

When will season 5 of ‘Outlander’ premiere?

Viewers can’t wait for the new season that is coming up. So, when will it premiere? Fans can relax because Outlander will officially be back on February 16, 2020. It seems to even be appropriately timed to be two days after Valentine’s Day. It will be nice to see Roger and Brianna start their family together again alongside her parents, Claire and Jamie. They have their whole futures ahead of them.

A new trailer has been released for season 5

There is already a new trailer to go on for season 5. It looks like members of the Fraser clan are struggling with the choice of whether to stay or return through the stones to their time. Claire appears to be blaming herself for everyone being together in North Carolina. “It’s my fault that you’re all here, fighting the dangers of the Carolina wilderness,” Claire says in the trailer.

Things look like they’re heating up for the Frasers. The American Revolutionary War is coming and they know it. It isn’t something they’re going to be able to escape, unless they travel back in time. “When this war you’ve told me about eventually comes, it would be safer in your time,” Jamie says to his wife.

Will Claire choose to stay with Jamie? Is there even a possibility she would leave him after being apart from him for so many years already? It is heartbreaking to think about. It could just be a tease and nothing may come of it. Or it may lead to something else.

There are still so many unanswered questions fans have about season 5 of Outlander. The new trailer just gave us even more questions. Luckily, there are only a few more months left in Droughtlander, so we’ll all have answers soon.
