Every person who watches the show probably has a favorite episode or two of the Starz series. It may surprise you to learn which episode of Outlander is really Skelton’s favorite.
Sophie Skelton’s favorite episode of ‘Outlander’
The official Outlander social media channels have been quick to share teases and behind-the-scenes moments with the stars. A recent post shows Sophie Skelton talking about her favorite episode on the series, which is called “The Birds and The Bees.” It holds a special family moment for the Fraser clan. Skelton found it an emotional scene and a nice change of pace.
“My favorite episode of Outlander is where Brianna tells Claire about her emotional trauma but it was also one of the first episodes where we were all together,” Skelton says. “Ian, Murtagh, Jamie, Claire, Bree at the table. It was just a really fun scene and we just had a really good laugh and that’s just a lovely family moment which is not often you get some nice downtime to all laugh in Outlander. There’s a lot of drama and pain going on. So yeah, it’s a nice quiet moment.”
‘The Birds and The Bees’
That isn’t the only significant moment in that particular episode. It’s also the episode that Brianna finally meets her biological father, Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan), whom her mother, Claire (Caitriona Balfe) traveled back in time for. Brianna finally reunites with her mother as well and the moment will bring tears to the eyes of any true Outlander fan. Viewers will remember that Brianna traveled back through the stones to find her parents and warn them of an impending fire.
Brianna gets to really know her biological father for the very first time. They have numerous touching moments during the episode. It’s clear they are father and daughter and it’s nice to see Jamie connect with his child that he’s heard so much about from Claire.
Brianna reveals she’s pregnant
Brianna finally comes clean to her mother about her pregnancy and the heinous trauma she’s suffered, though she doesn’t name the assailant, who viewers know to be Stephen Bonnet (Ed Speleers). Claire reveals the terrible ordeal to Jamie, who takes decisive action without thinking clearly. Claire figures out who the man who attacked Bree really is. She promises Brianna she won’t say anything, which ends in tragedy for Roger (Richard Rankin).
The episode doesn’t go well for Roger
Roger finds his way to Fraser’s Ridge finally, searching for Brianna, the woman he loves. An unfortunate case of mistaken identity takes place and Jamie attacks Roger in a brutal altercation. Young Ian (John Bell) does what Jamie tells him to and takes care of Roger. Fans will remember that Ian sells Roger to the Mohawk tribe, which causes even more problems for the Frasers.
As you can see, there’s a lot going on in Skelton’s favorite episode of Outlander. Not only does it hold a beautiful family reunion but it’s also full of tragedy. The next season of Outlander will premiere on February 16, 2020 to the delight of fans everywhere. Get ready to travel back in time and check back in with the Fraser clan.
