Paris Jackson Posts Birthday Tribute to Late Father Michael Jackson

Paris Jackson took to Instagram Tuesday to pay tribute to her late father, Michael Jackson, who would have turned 59 today, stating “You are always with me” and posting an old photo of the father and daughter sharing a kiss.

“Birthday wishes to the love of my life, the one person who showed me what passion truly was, the one that gave me solid morals to live by and how to dream,” she wrote.

“I will never feel love again the way i did with you. you are always with me and i am always with you. though i am not you, and you are not me, i know with all of my being that we are one. and our souls will never change in that way. thank you for the magic, forever and always.”

The iconic singer died from cardiac arrest in June 2009 at the age of 50 at his home in Los Angeles.

Shortly after posting the birthday tribute photo, the 19-year-old aspiring actress and model posted a follow-up photo of herself at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards featuring the shadow of her father kissing her forehead.

Jackson presented the VMA award on Sunday for Best Pop Video. Before doing so, she provided thoughts on the current political climate. “You know, if we were all to put our voices together, do you know the difference we could make?” she asked viewers. “If we were to stand up all united as one, our impact would be ‘yuge.’ It would be ‘yuge.’ Believe me, ‘yuge.’ And that’s not fake news,” she said.

“So let’s leave here tonight remembering that we must show these Nazi, white supremacist jerks in Charlottesville and all over the country that we have zero tolerance for their violence, their hatred and their discrimination. We must resist.”
