Paul Rudd’s Latest Netflix Binge Is Everyone’s Favorite Show

Binge-watching TV: As it turns out — the stars do it, too! But you already knew that. What you may not know if what actor Paul Rudd has been watching lately. Well, he’s here to tell you, and to sing the praises of this fan-favorite series.

Paul Rudd is a movie star

Chances are, you know Rudd from a whole host of films. His career really kicked off in the mid-00s when he began appearing in movies with then-forming Judd Apatow crew, including Seth Rogen, Steve Carell, and many more. Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy really helped to get him on the map.

From there Rudd’s career has only continued to prosper. Then, in 2015, he hit the jackpot: He was cast as Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, he’s one of the biggest stars in Hollywood.

He’s on Netflix in ‘Living With Yourself’

Like many A-list actors in recent years, Rudd was gone back to TV — or, more accurately, streaming service. He’s now starring in a brand-new Netflix series Living With Yourself. And he’s playing not one, but two roles in it, as you can see above.

The general premise of the series is that Rudd portrays Miles, a man who’s unhappy with how his life is going. So he goes to a spa, in hopes of bettering himself. The only problem? Rather than being rejuvenated, he is instead cloned, and his new self is, well, a bit insufferable. Watch the trailer to learn more.

Why the show is super watchable

If Rudd and the premise weren’t enough of a sale, there’s one more great thing about Living With Yourself: It’s not a major time commitment. With just eight episodes, the total time you’d spend on the series is 215 minutes or a little over 3 and a half hours. Rudd praises this in a recent BuzzFeed interview.

“Here’s what I’m going to say: It’s easy to watch,” said Rudd of the series. “It’s short, thank God. It’s not a big commitment. You can do it in a night. For God’s sake, I’m not telling you to start Game of Thrones. But Living With Yourself? You can watch that whole show just on the way to the fridge. Check it out!”

In the aforementioned BuzzFeed interview, Rudd answered a series of questions to find out which of his many well-known characters he is most like. One selection he had to make was choosing a series to binge on Netflix. Though he liked all of the options, Rudd went with Schitt’s Creek, because it was actually the show he was watching at the time.

Rudd couldn’t say enough good things about the Emmy-nominated series. “Catherine O’Hara’s character in Schitt’s Creek is quite possibly the greatest creation since the Mars rovers. It’s something to behold. It’s spectacular,” he proclaimed. “And Eugene Levy is such an MVP in every category. He’s just so funny. The whole family is incredible, as we all know.”

Will there be a Season 2 of ‘Living With Yourself’?

Right now, there’s no word as to whether or not the series will return for a second season. However, it’s definitely a possibility, as writer and creator Timothy Greenberg does “have ideas for what could be future seasons.” However, this will depend on the demands of the audience, Netflix, and, of course, Rudd himself.
