Prince Charles is Very Worried About Harry and Meghan’s Baby — Here’s Why

The royal family is preparing for a new baby. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting, and everyone is delighted. But Prince Charles does have one thing he’s concerned about with his newest grandchild. As much as he loves that he’ll be a grandfather once again, there is something that’s been worrying him about the arrival of his new baby: The environment.

Charles has always cared a lot about the environment

Charles has been vocal about the environment for many years. He cares deeply about the condition of the earth. He even has a page on his website dedicated to sustainability. One of his projects is the Prince’s Rainforest Project, which aims to find economically feasible solutions to deforestation. He has also developed Accounting for Sustainability and the International Sustainability Unit. For the last 40 years, he’s worked to establish initiatives to create a more environmentally friendly world. But as the environment worsens, he can’t help but worry about the future of the world’s children.

Charles is worried for Meghan and Harry’s child because of the state of the earth

Charles recently gave a speech about environmental practices, and he noted that he’d soon be welcoming a grandson.

“I am about to have another grandchild actually,” Charles said. “I suspect quite a few of you may too have grandchildren or will do soon. It does seem to me insanity if we are going to bequeath this completely polluted, damaged, and destroyed world to them.”

He also said that all grandchildren deserve a better future. Despite being one of the most well-known people in the world, Charles can’t singlehandedly save the environment. During the speech, he explained that humans cannot continue to allow plastic to build up in the oceans. He also gave a nod to experts, saying they’ve made a good start with changing the environment.

Charles doesn’t want his grandson to grow up in the environmentally disturbed world we’re currently living in. He’s hoping change will be enacted before his newest grandchild is left to grow up in such a polluted world.

Researchers predict climate change will only get worse if we don’t turn things around

Charles isn’t the only person worried about the state of the earth. Researchers have been saying for decades that the world is going downhill as far as the environment is concerned. Glaciers have begun melting, pouring water into the oceans. Ice all around the world is melting, including the polar ice caps, which has also added more water to the oceans and only increases the need to slow things down. Certain plants and trees are flowering sooner than they once did. And the climate issues are causing problems for certain species, such as polar bears.

As temperatures keep rising, the world’s climate problems keep getting more significant. Scientists believe temperatures will continue to increase, creating serious problems for plants, animals, and humans. It’s up to people around the world to enact change in order to prevent the earth from burning up. If not for us, then for our grandchildren.
