Revealed: This Is How Prince George and Princess Charlotte Will Spend Their Spring Break

Prince George and Princess Charlotte are officially on their half-term holidays –or Spring Break as we call it in the States. The prince is nearly done with Year One at his school– Thomas’s Battersea, and the princess is finishing her final year at Willcocks Nursery before she puts on her school uniform in the fall and joining her big brother at Thomas’s.

We all remember how excited we used to get when a break from school came around when we were kiddos. So how will Prince George and Princess Charlotte spend their time away from the classroom?

What will Prince George and Princess Charlotte do during their spring break?

Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton are thrilled to spend some quality time with their oldest children. In fact, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have cleared their schedules so that they don’t have any royal engagements from Feb 18-24, 2019 when the little prince and princess are on break.

Though no official details have been given to the press, the rumor is that the Cambridge clan will spend their vacation at their country estate, Anmer Hall, in Norfolk, or they will head off on a skiing vacation with the entire family. Perhaps Prince Louis will have a taste of his first hot chocolate since he can’t exactly hit the slopes yet.

What is Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s favorite activity?

No matter where the prince and princess spend their Spring Break, we know that they will spend a great deal of time outside. Around Christmas 2018, Duchess Kate Middleton visited some children at Lavender Primary School. She showed the kiddos a photo of her family and said, “This is a photograph of my family. These are my children and this is my husband. And my family makes me feel happy. And we like playing outside together and spending lots of time together as a family. And that makes me feel very happy.”

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are sticklers for making sure their kiddos get enough fresh air and playtime –no matter the weather.  An insider explained to US Weekly, “As two people who grew up without gadgets for entertainment themselves, William and Kate are firm believers in toys, outdoor play and encouraging an active imagination. They’re very much a normal family.”

How do Kate Middleton and Prince William bond with their children?

Aside from outside play, Duchess Kate Middleton and Prince William also adore several indoor activities. The duchess has been teaching her older kiddos how to cook. She revealed their favorite meal during a Feb 2019 visit to Ivy Learning Trust. Matthew Kleiner-Mann, chief executive of the Ivy Learning Trust told reporters, “She was telling us how much her children love cooking and how they cook for her. They made cheesy pasta the other day. One stirs the flour, one puts the milk and butter in. And they make salads and stuff.”

The duke and duchess also enjoy doing arts and crafts with their kiddos even though it’s not exactly Prince Williams forte –he’s still enthusiastic. Middleton revealed that she has been “loving” getting stuck into crafts with her children. She told onlookers, “It’s something I’m loving doing with the children – papier mache – I forgot how messy it is, but it’s really great.” In addition to papier mache –Prince George enjoys drawing. The duchess explained that the little prince found a piece of charcoal and began using it to draw. Prince George had told her, “Mummy I’m going to draw a picture. That’s what’s so nice you can do it from all around you.” Meanwhile, Princess Charlotte’s favorite craft is using beads to make bracelets.
