Prince George Goes By This Perfectly Adorable Nickname At School

Prince George is living his very best life. In the future, the little prince will have quite a bit of responsibility on his shoulders as the King of the United Kingdom, but for now –Prince George is just enjoying being a big brother and a kid. Though Duchess Kate Middleton and Prince William have been careful to keep their children out of the public eye –we do catch glimpses of Prince George and his siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis every now and again.

One of Prince George’s favorite activities is going to school. The little one attends Thomas’s Battersea, a private Christian school with a stellar reputation. Apparently, he also has a ton of friends at school, and Prince George’s classmates even have the perfect nickname for him.

This is Prince George’s nickname at school

Many of us had adorable nicknames as children, and Prince George is no exception. One of Prince George’s classmates’ parents told Vanity Fair that the little prince adores school and his classmates call him P.G. The parent said, “He’s very popular and has a lot of friends, and there’s very little fuss made about who he is.”

Apparently, either Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton drop the little prince off each morning and he’s close to his best friend, cousin, and classmate, Maud Windsor, who is the daughter of Lord Freddie Windsor and Sophie Winkleman. Though the prince technically doesn’t have a last name –he’s also called George Cambridge at school so that he won’t feel strange about not having a last name.

Inside Prince George’s school

Thomas’s Battersea’s website describes it as a busy, thriving, purposeful school that offers a rich and broad curriculum. Thomas’s Battersea’s mantra is “Be Kind.” Along with their academics, the school has a ton of extracurricular activities including, fencing, philosophy, gardening, and pottery among others. Thomas’ certainly isn’t the cheapest school Prince William, and Duchess Kate Middleton could have sent their first-born son it. It cost a whopping $24,000 a year to attend.

Why did Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton choose Thomas’s Battersea for Prince George?

The duke and duchess felt that Thomas’s Battersea was the right fit for their eldest son. A royal insider revealed, “They are very keen to allow George to spread his wings as a child and won’t ever do what people expect them to do when it comes to their children.”

Will Princess Charlotte enroll in Prince George’s school?

It has been reported that in the fall of 2019 –Princess Charlotte will join her brother at Thomas’s Battersea. Not only is this easier for the royal family logistically, but it also makes sense for the children’s security. With both the prince and princess’ bodyguards and schedules tied to the same location, it just makes things a lot smoother for the school and for Kensington Palace. Also, for Princess Charlotte who adores bossing her big brother around, we’re sure she’s going to love seeing Prince George at school every day. We wonder which extracurricular activities she’ll choose to participate in.
