Prince George’s Role In His School Play Was Legendary
Though he’s only four, Prince George of Cambridge is already a legend. After all, the small tot is the future King of England. The eldest son of Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton, Prince George is growing up right in front of our eyes. Though being a public figure isn’t an easy feat for anyone, Prince George is just enjoying being a kid.
Well into his first official year at school, it seems like the toddler is already shining amongst his classmates. He even had a super cute role in his school’s nativity play.
Schooling fit for a king
The tiny prince headed to his first day of school back in September, clutching his father Prince William’s hand. (His mother Duchess Kate is pregnant and was feeling too ill to attend.) The 4-year-old attends Thomas’s Battersea. Though it’s not the same school that the Prince’s father or uncle, Prince Harry attended, it is at $24,000 a year, “the best English education money can buy.”
Though Thomas’s Battersea is a Christian school, they accept pupils from any faith or background. The school also has a wide range of extracurricular activities including, ballet, drama, LEGOS, fencing, and so many others. Despite all of this, the school’s most important rule for its students is to “be kind.”
In today’s age of bullying and intolerance, we think that’s a wonderful principle to instill in children. Simon O’Malley, the school’s headmaster said, “Our ethos, aims and values actively support the upholding of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of different faiths and beliefs.”
Prince George has already mastered being center stage. After all, the young royal and his 2-year-old sister Princess Charlotte have been seen waving to the press, on Buckingham Palace’s balcony, and shining in their aunt Pippa Middleton’s wedding already.
It’s no surprise then that Prince George snagged the perfect role in his school’s Nativity play.
The perfect role
Recently during his visit to Manchester, Prince William revealed that Prince George stole the show at his play. He said, “I went to my boy’s Nativity play. It was funny. He was a sheep.”
How perfect would Prince George be in a sheep costume?
It looks like the nativity play isn’t the only thing that’s gotten Prince George in the holiday spirit. He’s also geared up to be visited by Father Christmas, and from the 4-year-old’s own accord, he’s been “nice” and not “naughty” this year.
We’re obsessed with how sure he is about himself.
A list for Father Christmas
Prince William let us in on Prince George’s Christmas list during a two-day tour of Finland when he ran into a Finnish Santa. Daily Mail was even able to snag a close up of the list, which included only one item — a police car!
How sweet is George? It looks like he can search for the car under the Christmas tree. When he handed his son’s list to Santa, Prince William said, “I’ve seen you, and I had to give you this letter. He hasn’t written down many requests, so I think one request is probably OK.”
A new role in the New Year
A sheep isn’t the only role Prince George will be taking on. Next year, he will also play a major part in his uncle Prince Harry and future aunt Meghan Markle’s wedding. The newly engaged couple are set to tie the knot in May 2018, and Prince George will be on hand as a pageboy. His sister Princess Charlotte will be a bridesmaid for the ceremony.
Prince Harry adores his nephew and niece, and apparently, Markle has already met the tots several times. Though their new sibling will only be about a month old when the couple weds we’re sure he or she will be on hand to witness the event as well.
