Ever since the news that Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, would be sitting down for an interview with Oprah Winfrey, questions have swirled about the topics. A big one is whether the two will discuss their relationship with the royal family after stepping away from their duties and moving to the United States. Neither of them has confirmed anything, but a new report says they will indeed talk about it.

Following years of rumors of infighting and struggles with the press, the couple announced in January 2020 that they’d decided to step back from royal life. After finishing their duties, they moved to the United States that March with their son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, residing in a Los Angeles mansion owned by Tyler Perry as they searched for their own place.
Later, they purchased a $14 million mansion in Santa Barbara, California. The couple, who has since landed deals with Netflix, Spotify, and other companies, revealed in February that they have no plans of returning to their royal duties in the United Kingdom.

The couple will give a wide-ranging interview to Oprah that airs on March 7 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. CNN reports that the topics will include their relationship, business ventures, parenthood, and what it life has been like since their departure from the United Kingdom. Oprah will reportedly chat with Meghan first before the two are joined by Prince Harry.
The ‘tension’ between them and the royal family will also be discussed, according to a new report
According to an E! News source who is “close to the couple,” Prince Harry and Meghan will reportedly discuss the “tension” between them and the royal family, too.
“There is a lot of tension between them and the royal family,” the source claimed. “The interview is going to shine a light on what they have been through. Meghan and Harry are relieved they are away from it all.”
The insider claimed the two will be “very candid” with Oprah as they have “officially been released” from their royal duties. Among the talking points? “They are going to touch on a lot of how mental health came into play and how it affected them,” the source added.
