12. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle debut as a couple

Who can forget when the rumors first surfaced that Harry was seeing someone new? The future Duke of Sussex met Meghan through a mutual friend in the summer of 2016. They immediately hit it off and it wasn’t long before royal fans caught on.

According to Hello Magazine, Harry and Meghan’s first public appearance together was during the Invictus Games in 2017. The event took place in Toronto, Canada, where Meghan was living at the time.

11. Prince Harry pops the big question

Harry asked Meghan to marry him in the fall of 2017. Clarence House confirmed the engagement and revealed that the ceremony would happen the following spring.

“His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince Harry to Ms Meghan Markle,” the statement revealed.

Shortly after the announcement, Harry and Meghan took a series of photos at Kensington Palace’s Sunken Garden. A few months later, they release official engagement pics, which were taken at their future residence, Frogmore House.

One of the most memorable moments of Harry and Meghan’s short-lived royal career was their gorgeous wedding. The pair made things official in May 2018 inside St. George’s Chapel and millions of fans around the world watched them tie the knot.

Multiple celebrities and high-profile government officials attended the wedding, and Meghan stole the show in her Clare Waight Keller gown and diamond bandeau tiara.

Following the wedding, the first big event Harry and Meghan attended as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex was Trooping the Colour. The couple joined other senior members of the royal family for the prestigious event, which celebrates Queen Elizabeth’s birthday.
