Prince Harry Doesn’t Have a Problem With Meghan Markle Stealing the Spotlight

Those who are born into royalty know all too well what it is like to have absolutely no privacy. At times, it can be overwhelming, since as a family member, everything that you do is watched and often criticized.

Prince Harry knows this all too well, especially since he has been in the royal fishbowl since the day he was born. Photographers and the news media have pretty much followed Prince Harry throughout his entire life, constantly taking pictures and reporting on every important event.

Prince Harry had the added tragic experience of losing his beloved mother, Princess Diana, when he was only 12 years old, and the unfortunate fact is that being chased by paparazzi cost Diana her life. It is really no surprise that at this point, Prince Harry is ready to step out of the limelight and fade into the background a bit.

Ever since exiting the royal family, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, certainly has not slowed down. She has made several virtual appearances and is making sure to stay in touch with the public. Let’s discuss how Prince Harry doesn’t have a problem with Meghan stealing the spotlight.

Living life in the public eye

Being a member of the royal family sounds like a dream — that is until someone actually has to do it! It certainly isn’t all glitz and glamour like fairy tale stories make it out to be and is probably one of the most difficult jobs that anyone could ever have.

There has never been a time in Prince Harry’s life when he wasn’t in the public eye, from the time he was born right up to his life as a husband and father. In fact, Harper’s Bazaar reports that the prince actually made his feelings about royal life quite clear, saying during an interview that he did not want his son having the same experiences that he did.

As we know, Baby Archie doesn’t have a royal title at this time, and he hasn’t been in front of the cameras too much, which is exactly the way Meghan and Prince Harry want things to be.

Prince Harry has previously said in another interview when there was a time before he met Meghan when he wanted “out” of the royal family.

Meghan continues to keep busy

50 years ago, women in Britain won the right to equal pay. That monumental moment began with one courageous and inspiring group of women in a factory in Dagenham, England. In 1968, facing a pay settlement that declared them less skilled than men, the sewing machinists of the Ford Motor Company walked out on strike. In the face of great pressure, they stood firm, and two years later the UK Parliament was forced to pass the Equal Pay Act, protecting and supporting working women ever since. To mark International Women’s Day, The Duchess of Sussex visited Dagenham to meet with Geraldine Dear, one of the strikers, and spend time with students at the Robert Clack Upper School to meet the town’s next generation of female role models, and talk to young women and men about the women who inspire them. • “Being in Dagenham is incredibly profound. Because as you can see with Geraldine and the other women who had the strength to really stand up for something that they knew needed to be done. This is the best example of no matter how small you might feel, how low you may feel on the ladder or the totem pole, no matter what colour you are, no matter what gender you are, you have a voice, and you certainly have the right to speak up for what is right.” – The Duchess of Sussex A lifetime advocate and campaigner for gender equity, The Duchess joined a special assembly to celebrate this remarkable local story, as well as recognise the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of all women around the world. #InternationalWomensDay #IWD2020 #EachForEqual Photo © The Duke and Duchess of Sussex / Chris Allerton

Meghan may no longer be able to use the title “Her Royal Highness,” but that doesn’t mean that she hasn’t been keeping as busy as possible. The duchess has always been a human rights activist, taking a stand for women’s rights, and doing extensive charity work for causes that she believes in.

Now that Megxit is official, she hasn’t been carrying out royal duties, but her schedule is jam-packed with the work that she loves to do. Meghan promoted a Disney+ documentary to which she lent her voice, and also spoke about current events going on in the world, something that she never would have been permitted to do if she were still required to abide by royal rules.

So, is Prince Harry upset that Meghan is keeping herself in the spotlight? Not at all! He definitely doesn’t have a problem with what his wife is doing, and he is making that well-known.

According to Best Life, Prince Harry wants nothing more than for Meghan to be happy. He knows that as they get established in LA, she will do what she is comfortable with, and he encourages that.

Meghan is taking control, doing what she is best at, and although it means that her star is shining a little brighter these days, Prince Harry supports her all the way.
