Is Prince Harry a Feminist Like His Wife, Meghan Markle?
Duchess Meghan Markle has always been clear about her feminist views and her advocacy for women’s rights. In 2015, the Duchess became the United Nations Women’s Advocate for Women’s Political Participation and Leadership, and she has spoken candidly about the need for women’s suffrage and education on a global scale. Now, her husband, Prince Harry has used his voice and platform to speak openly about his views on feminism.
It looks like the Duke of Sussex shares the same views and values that his wife has.
Is Prince Harry a feminist?
We didn’t think that Meghan Markle would marry someone who didn’t share her views on feminism and women’s equality, and now Prince Harry had confirmed that he is indeed, a feminist. During the couple’s first royal engagement of 2019, they met with Tomorrow’s Women Wirral, a cause which aims to support women in vulnerable circumstances.
Angela Murphy who is CEO of the charity revealed, “During a discussion about Tomorrow’s Women Wirral being a women’s only center Prince Harry, to our delight, declared ‘I’m a feminist’ and highlighted that it is equally important for men to support the movement in female empowerment!”
In 2018 –Markle confirmed that her husband is a feminist when someone remarked how wonderful it is to have a feminist in the royal family, but hearing the duke speak about his views using his own words is super important.

Is Meghan Markle a feminist?
The Duchess of Sussex is a feminist and her years of work with women and young girls certainly solidifies her credentials. When she spoke at the UN on International Women’s Day 2015, she said, “I am proud to be a woman and a feminist.”
Markle’s work with women has been a global endeavor. During her time at the UN, the duchess worked with the New York office to understand the organization’s day-to-day work. Using the tools that she learned the mother-to-be embarked on a learning mission trip to Rwanda where she met female parliamentarian leaders in Kigali and visited the Gihembe refugee camp. While visiting the refugee camp, the Suits alum spoke with women who were working on leadership and empowerment at a grassroots level.
Are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle having a girl?
Duchess Meghan Markle is currently in the third trimester of her first pregnancy so we can expect Baby Sussex to make his or her grand debut in late April or early May of 2019. However, we don’t know many other details about the tiny tot. When the couple first announced they were expecting in Oct. 2018 during their Australian royal tour, a well-wisher told the prince, “I hope it’s a girl!” The Duke of Sussex immediately replied, “so do I!”
We’re not sure what Baby Sussex’s gender is, but it does seem like with his feminist views and his cutesy comments about wanting a daughter —the duke is hoping for a little girl.
Though most royal couples choose not to find out their baby’s gender until after birth, so they don’t accidentally break royal protocol by revealing it, something tells us Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan Markle might know something we don’t.
