Prince Harry Has Too Much Free Time and Feels Lost, According to Royal Experts
While the entire world is having to adjust to a new way of life due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Prince Harry is experiencing more change in his life than most people. He went from being a senior member of the royal family to having ample free time. Harry has reportedly been having a hard time adjusting to life in LA and finding things to fill his time.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle step down
Earlier this year, Harry and his wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex announced their desire to lead a more independent life and make their own money. Unfortunately, there was no way that the couple could be part-time working royals so they had to leave their royal positions altogether.
“As agreed in this new arrangement, they understand that they are required to step back from royal duties, including official military appointments,” Buckingham Palace’s official statement announcing the departure read.
“They will no longer receive public funds for royal duties. With the queen’s blessing, the Sussexes will continue to maintain their private patronages and associations.”
The two stopped using their HRH titles but pledged to “continue to uphold the values” of the queen.
Life in LA
Both Harry and Meghan have been having a hard time adjusting to their new life. Meghan was excited to get back home to be with her family and friends but now that is not possible because of the pandemic.

“It’s a bit ironic because one of the things that was making Meghan unhappy about living in the UK was that she felt isolated and she missed her friends,” a source told Express.
Even though she’s back in her home city, she still can’t be around those that she loves.
“But now she’s back in the US, which is what she wanted, but is isolated and can’t see her friends.”
Prince Harry is bored
Now that Harry is free of his royal duties, he doesn’t exactly know what to do with all of this free time.
Royal expert and author Tom Quinn recently spoke about Harry’s limited options in the U.S.
“What’s his role?” he asked The Daily Star. “He can’t take the Labrador for a walk every day for the rest of his life. He can’t get a job in McDonald’s or for an investment bank, what’s he going to do?
“I’m not saying Harry absolutely hates it in America but having got there, Harry does feel slightly lost because he is now experiencing in America what Meghan was experiencing here.”
But it looks like the couple hasn’t exactly been sitting on their hands during all of this downtime. A source close to the pair recently revealed to Entertainment Tonight that the two had signed with the Harry Walker Agency.

The booking agency currently represents the Obamas so this deal could prove to be very lucrative for the Sussexes.
Though they will be taking on new speaking engagements and appearances through the agency, they have a strict set of things they do not want to talk about.
“They have no plans to do any speaking engagements about the royal family,” the source continued.
Rather, they want to use their voices to better the world.
The two are “firmly committed to social issues the world is facing now, including racial justice, gender equity, and mental health,” the source said.
