Prince Harry ‘dreaded Sunday nights’

Prince Harry went from a party lifestyle to feeling a bit lonely, according to royal biographer Katie Nicholl, who said that after Prince William and Kate Middleton got married in 2011, Harry experienced some loneliness.

Nicholl shared that Harry’s mood changed after William and Kate moved into Anmer Hall in Norfolk in 2014. The three of them lived together in the home that was a wedding gift from the Queen.

The biographer shared in her 2017 biography Prince Harry: Life, Loss and Love that the living arrangement didn’t mesh well with Prince Harry, noting that he felt “detached, lonely, and ‘rudderless,’ and according to a friend he dreaded Sunday nights.”

Nicholl believes that Harry felt that his brother had become “boring” in his new marriage and was worried about his own romantic life following some failed relationships.

Nicholl claimed: “He’d say ‘William’s got so boring,’ when in fact William was living the life I think Harry wanted for himself. I think he was worried he was going to be left on the shelf.”

She added: “He told me he hated being alone, especially on Sunday nights.”

Nicholl noted that while Harry was happy for his brother, he was “bitter,” explaining: “He was happy that his brother was married and had a family. But he missed their friendship and at points he was very, very bitter about it.”

Harry met Markle in 2016 and it changed his life

In 2016, Prince Harry and Markle were set up on a blind date by a friend and the rest, as they say, is history. Any loneliness that Harry might have felt was quickly put behind him, as he and Markle hit it off.

Harry shared with the BBC in 2016: “We were introduced actually by a mutual friend.”

Markle explained: “We met for a drink and then I think very quickly into that we said, ‘Well what are we doing tomorrow? We should meet again.’”

Prince Harry makes Markle’s happiness his ‘no.1 priority’

The Sussexes are a favorite of many royal fans and their fairytale life is certainly enviable. Prince Harry is the perfect husband to Markle, as a royal insider told Closer Weekly magazine that “Meghan’s happiness is his No. 1 priority,” adding, “He’s there for her 100 percent — as a husband, a lover and best friend. They’re a great team who won’t let anything or anyone bring them down.”

He reportedly provides some much-needed support to his wife as she faces so much criticism from the media, with the insider sharing: “He reassures her that she has nothing to worry about. If she’s having a down day, he’ll organize something special to cheer her up — a massage, flowers or a mini-break.”

Markle, according to the insider, “couldn’t ask for a more supportive husband,” as he’s her “knight in shining armor!”
