Prince Harry Is ‘Struggling’ After Royal Exit and Meghan Markle’s ‘Energy’ May Be Part of the Problem, Expert Claims

Prince Harry is reportedly struggling after he and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex exited the royal family and made their move to Los Angeles. Royal author Tom Quinn claims that a problem Prince Harry and Meghan have in their relationship may be the root of the issue.

Prince Harry and Meghan made their official exit in March

After Prince Harry and Meghan announced their plans to take a step back from their royal duties, Queen Elizabeth worked out the details with the Sussexes’ official last day on the job set for March 31.

After the queen offered a statement of support for the Sussexes’ exit, Prince Harry addressed the reason why they had to make what seemed like a drastic move.

“The decision that I have made for my wife and I to step back is not one I made lightly,” he said during a speech he delivered at a dinner for supporters of Sentebale. “It was so many months of talks after so many years of challenges. And I know I haven’t always gotten it right, but as far as this goes, there really was no other option.”

Harry has reportedly been ‘struggling’

Following some time in Canada, Prince Harry and Meghan moved to LA and many wondered how Harry would adapt, given that he’s only known his royal life.

The latest report claims that Harry is “struggling” and feeling “lost,” in some ways a very similar experience that Meghan had in the UK, Quinn told the Daily Star Online.

Quinn, author of Kensington Palace: An Intimate Memoir from Queen Mary to Meghan Markle, explained, “I’ve heard from people who have talked to them out there. Harry is really struggling with it, because what’s he going to do in LA? What’s he going to do anywhere? He can’t get a job in McDonald’s.”

“I’m not saying Harry absolutely hates it in America, but the point that’s been made to me is that there was this new exciting venture to get away from the British press and to make Meghan happy because she’s on her own territory,” he noted.

Is Meghan’s positive energy to blame?

According to Quinn, now that Prince Harry is there he’s feeling lost because he’s unsure of his role. The author believes that Meghan’s “positive energy” has in some ways made things more difficult for Harry.

“What’s his role? He can’t take the labrador for a walk every day for the rest of his life,” Quinn noted. “He can’t get a job in McDonald’s or for an investment bank, what’s he going to do?”

He continued, explaining, “It’s always been a problem, early on in the relationship, Meghan is a dynamo, she’s full of positive energy that would sweep Harry along but once the honeymoon is over, you still have to fill the days.”

“So what are they going to do?,” he asked again.

Is Harry ‘secretly tortured’?

In the book Royals At War: The Inside Story of Harry and Meghan’s Shocking Split With the House of Windsor, authors Andy Tillett and Dylan Howard shared a source’s belief that Prince Harry is “feeling secretly tortured.”

“On top of it all, he’s got cabin fever,” a source explained to the authors (via The Sun), adding that Prince Harry is “overwhelmed with guilt” by their move.

“It was far from an ideal situation. Harry’s gone from feeling excited about the move to feeling secretly tortured,” the insider explained.

The source shared that Meghan has been very supportive and encouraging. “She’s assuring [Harry] that once things go back to normal, he’ll love their new life in LA. Meghan wants to take him hiking and talks about the local polo club and how much he’ll love surfing,” they noted.
