Prince Harry Reveals Baby Archie’s Adorable First Encounter With Snow

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are currently dealing with the fallout of their January 8th announcement revealing that they intended to step back as senior members of the royal family. The couple has reportedly been incurring the irritation of other members of the royal family, but it has not swayed them in their resolve to forge a whole new life for themselves and their son.

It seems like ages ago that they were celebrating the holiday season in Canada, well away from the media spotlight, and recently, Prince Harry shared a sweet anecdote regarding his son’s very first experience with snow, proving that his mind is still focusing on the bright future ahead of the young family.

Why did the couple go to Canada over the holidays?

While members of the royal family typically band together over the holidays at the queen’s residence, 2019 proved to be slightly different. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wanted to spend some time away from the United Kingdom and decided to hide out in Canada for a period of six weeks around the holiday season. While the couple didn’t speak publicly regarding their plans, and the details about their extended holiday remain unconfirmed, there has been speculation that Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, joined the family in Vancouver, Canada, for some serious rest and relaxation.

During their getaway, Prince Harry and Meghan enjoyed the local scenery and got in some outdoor fun, including hiking and jogging. Still, they seem to have spent the majority of their time indoors at a mysterious mansion with layers of security projection surrounding it. It was also during their trip when they likely made their final plans to announce their retirement from royal duties since they made the big announcement on Instagram only days after ending their holiday.

What did baby Archie think about snow?

It’s clear that the young family had a great time on vacation, and it seems as though baby Archie Harrison enjoyed a series of new adventures. In a recent speaking engagement, Prince Harry gave props to the people of Canada, saying that “it has also been a privilege to meet so many of you, and to feel your excitement for our son Archie, who saw snow for the first time the other day and thought it was bloody brilliant!”

If Meghan Markle and Prince Harry recorded the sweet moment on their phones, they are keeping it private for now; however, the couple has been slowly sharing more and more snaps of Archie as he grows older, so it is possible that royal fans could get to see Archie’s encounter with snow sometime in the future.

Will Meghan Markle and Prince Harry live in Canada?

Now that the royal family is working with the couple to figure out their next steps, Meghan and Prince Harry are able to move forward with some of their plans. It was determined that they will be able to split their time between the United Kingdom and Canada. What isn’t very clear yet is when exactly the big move will occur, since most of the changes will likely start to take place in the spring. Still, for now, Meghan and baby Archie are lying low in Canada, escaping the public and the press.

For the royal family, it might take a lot of work to rebuild their brand and begin to move forward in a positive way. For Meghan and Prince Harry, the year ahead is full of uncertainty, but it will undoubtedly bring about a fresh start.
