It’s not surprising to hear that Prince Harry will be a great father to baby Archie, but one of his friends is singing his praises not only as a new dad, but also as an all around great person. Polo star Nacho Figueras posted a sweet Instagram tribute to Prince Harry and, while his fans can already tell what a stand-up person Harry is, these words further support his character.

Prince Harry is ‘kind, generous compassionate’

Prince Harry and Figueras both participated in the 2019 Sentebale ISPS Handa Polo Cup match this weekend in Rome, a charity match to “raise funds and awareness for Sentebale’s work supporting children and young people affected by HIV in southern Africa,” according to the Sussex Royal Instagram account.

Following the match, Figueras took to Instagram to share photos from the weekend and explain his personal experience with Prince Harry, including the duke’s personal qualities that make him a great man.

Figueras noted: “The world thinks they know everything about this man. I have been fortunate enough to spend enough time over the years to learn and understand the man he really is, a kind, generous, compassionate person who is constantly thinking about how to make the world a better place, wether [sic] that is helping kids in Africa, talking openly about mental health, encouraging children or talking about climate change and the things that we all human beings need to change for the next generations.”

He continued: “I see him do that over and over again and it is truly inspiring. I am honored to be your friend and let’s keep fighting because if we all fight together love always wins.”

Figueras also shared how Prince Harry is a wonderful father

The Duke of Sussex left wife Meghan Markle and newborn Archie Harrison to participate in the Sentebale Polo Cup, which he co-founded in 2006 with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho. While it was his first night away from his family, the cause is important to Prince Harry.

His overnighter away from Archie certainly shouldn’t be criticized and Figueras further explained what a great dad Harry is, telling the press: “Being a father always changes you. He seems to be very, very happy. I think this is a very exciting part of his life. He was ready for it and I think he’s loving it.”

Figueras added: “I always thought that he would be an amazing father because he has a great affinity for children — two weeks is very, very soon, but I’m sure he’s changed. Sometimes duty calls and this is 24 hours away from the house — I think he’s doing just fine.”

He also called Prince Harry a “wonderful father” who is “very present.”

Prince Harry is as nice in person as he seems

Figueras’ glowing words about Prince Harry don’t come as a major surprise but many fans wonder if Harry is actually as nice in real life as he seems at various events and appearances.

Miguel Head, who spent 10 years working for the British royal family as the first press secretary to Prince William and Prince Harry before he moved on to being Prince William’s private secretary, knows personally what Prince Harry is like away from the cameras.

He told the Harvard Gazette, “I have to say, the job was very easy because the two princes were delightful to work for.”

He added: “They are the same in private as they are in public, very popular, and they have a genuineness about them, a compassion about them which people relate to and respond to.”
