Prince William and Kate Middleton Quietly Set Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in Their Place

It seems as if there is always plenty of headline news regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. No matter what they do, they just can’t manage to keep themselves away from the rumors and drama, with fans commenting on just about every single thing that they do. From their desire to live a more quiet, private life away from the spotlight of London to the decisions that they are choosing to make for Baby Archie Harrison, so many people are voicing their opinions.

Lately, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have found themselves in the middle of a scandal once again. Celebrities such as Elton John have been standing up for Markle and Prince Harry, and many royal fans would think that Prince William and Kate Middleton would do the same.

Instead of jumping to the defense of the couple, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge instead took another approach. So, how did Prince William and Kate Middleton quietly set Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in their place?

Everyone needs a break from the daily grind of life, especially the hard-working royals. Recently, Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry — self proclaimed environmentalists and sustainability advocates — traveled by private jet not only once or twice, but a staggering four times in less than two weeks.

According to Metro, the duke and duchess, along with Baby Archie, flew the friendly skies in luxury when they boarded a 12-seater private aircraft that is not exactly environmentally friendly. In fact, the private plane can emit as much as seven times the emission per person as compared to a much more eco-friendly commercial flight.

Today, during the launch event of the new global initiative ‘Travalyst’, The Duke of Sussex shared his remarks on the exciting new initiative from Amsterdam. #Travalyst, an initiative led by The Duke and founded by Booking.com, Ctrip, Skyscanner, TripAdvisor and Visa, sees a pressing need for increased collaboration to make sustainability a priority across our entire travel experience – and we believe that collective, collaborative action will be critical to achieve this. The travel and tourism sector is constantly growing and contributes a significant impact to the world we live in today. The Duke sees it as one of the worlds biggest problems but believes this partnership can make it one its greatest solutions: • – 1.8 Billion trips will be made annually by 2030, and since 2000, the number of trips taken around the world has more than doubled – 71% of global travellers think travel companies should offer more sustainable options – $8.8 Trillion was generated to the global economy from travel and tourism last year – 57% of all international trips by 2030 will include emerging market destinations We plan to work closely with local communities and providers, leveraging technology to help scale sustainable supply to meet the growing mass-market demand from consumers – ultimately, making sustainable travel options of all kinds easier for consumers to identify, book and enjoy. It is because of how passionate Markle and Prince Harry claim to be regarding environmental issues that has left so many people calling them hypocritical. For years, they both have been involved in a number of causes, with Prince Harry going so far as to say that he and Markle would only have a “maximum” of two children in order to do their part to protect the environment.

Prince Harry talks about issues such as climate change, and how terrifying the issue is as a new parent. Markle is involved in the same causes as her husband, and she is also a global ambassador for the children’s charity World Vision

Recently, Prince Harry addressed his private jet ways saying it was for his family. When launching his new charitable foundation’s initiative, called Travalyst, Prince Harry said: “We cannot dismiss the idea of doing something just because we cannot do everything,” Prince Harry said. “We can all do better, and while no one is perfect, we all have a responsibility for our own individual impact. The question is what we do to balance it out.”

In a Q&A session, Prince Harry reportedly said he would continue flying private aircraft “to ensure the safety of [his] family,” while claiming he flies commercial a bulk of the time.

Many people may assume that Prince William and Kate Middleton travel around the world in only the most luxurious private planes since they are the future king and queen of England. But this isn’t exactly the truth.

It is actually quite the opposite, with Travel and Leisure reporting that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with their three children, traveled to and from Scotland on a commercial airplane. This comes after Prince Harry’s statement regarding how many children he and Markle would have, which may have offended the Cambridges, given that they have three children already, as reported by International Business Times.

It would appear that Prince William and Duchess Kate know what is best, and are making quite the impression with what they have chosen to do.

Did Prince William and Kate Middleton quietly set Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in their place?

They certainly did. Their decision to use a commercial plane as opposed to a private jet definitely speaks volumes, and even more so given that Prince William and Duchess Kate are the future king and queen. Obviously, they can afford to use a private aircraft to travel around the world as much as they like, yet they chose not to do so. Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan say one thing and chose privacy and luxury instead. If a commercial flight is safe enough for the couple who will one day be on the throne, then it should be good enough for Markle and Prince Harry.
