Prince William and Kate Middleton Took Their Kids to the Farm, Said ‘They Loved Feeding the Lambs’

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge proved yet again that they’re just regular old parents who happen to be living a royal life.

This down-to-earth couple could afford a life of excess with nonstop champagne and caviar. Instead, they keep showing up at events and showing off their parenting techniques, which include requiring their children to spend time outdoors. Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are becoming quite the little nature enthusiasts.

Recently, the royal couple took the kids to a farm in Norfolk, where everyone enjoyed getting a taste of the rural life.

Prince William and Kate Middleton took their kids to the farm

During a weekend visit to the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, the Duke of Cambridge struck up a conversation with a former player Rhian Roberts. William allegedly told him all about his family’s love of the farm.

“We’ve been lambing with the children this week,” Prince William told Roberts, according to the Evening Standard. “Charlotte wasn’t sure at first but George was straight in there. Louis loves the tractors.”

Roberts said Prince William talked about wanting to share the simple beauty of farm life with his whole brood. “They want the children to see the country way of life as well as the city way of life,” he explained.

The Duke of Cambridge also said the kids, “love seeing the lambs and feeding the lambs.”

Kate Middleton also loves getting the kids outside to play

These statements come just a short time after Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge got candid about exposing the children the beauty of our natural world.

After sharing a previously unreleased photo of Princess Charlotte leaning over to smell a flower, Kate discussed how much she loves embracing the simple things in life. Including being outdoors on the farm.

“I’ve got this one photo of Charlotte smelling a bluebell, and really for me, it’s moments like that that mean so much to me as a parent,” Kate said. “And I try every day to put moments like that in, even if they’re small or even if I don’t have time… but that in an ideal world is what I would like to do,” Kate said during a podcast interview.

“It’s the simple things that really make a difference.”

The couple has always stressed the importance of gadget-free parenting

Their latest comments about exposing the three royal children to life on the farm comes as no surprise. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been adamant about their parenting preferences for years.

“As two people who grew up without gadgets for entertainment themselves, William and Kate are firm believers in toys, outdoor play, and encouraging an active imagination,” a royal insider told US Weekly. “They’re very much a normal family.”

Their nanny Maria Borrallo takes the kids outside a minimum of once per day, even in the winter. During warmer months she follows the protocol her employers require and often takes the children on outings in nature or constructs creative games for them to play outside.

Considering how much Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis loved their farm trip, they might be adding more outings to local farms to their upcoming summer agenda.
