Do Prince William and Kate Middleton Want a Fourth Child?
Prince William and Kate Middleton have their hands full with three royal children, Prince George (5), Princess Charlotte (3), and Prince Louis (10 months). But with everyone’s excited over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s pregnancy, have the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge caught baby fever? Yesterday, while on a royal tour in Northern Ireland, Kate Middleton toyed with the idea.
Do Prince William and Kate Middleton want a fourth child?
During a walkabout in Ballymena, Kate Middleton caught up with a well-wisher, Alan Barr and his five-month-old son, James, reports People. “He’s gorgeous. It makes me feel broody,” the Duchess of Cambridge said at the sight of the baby. She then cooed at the infant and said, “you’re a very sweet little boy.” Barr allegedly asked if her baby fever meant a possible “baby number four,” to which Kate laughed and replied, “I think William would be a little worried.”
When he first became a dad, Prince William expressed how hard parenting one can be, so we can imagine how he might feel about four little ones to look after. “Once the lack of sleep starts setting in, the stress levels go up,” he explained. “From a young age, you’re taught to have a vision, have a plan, have a career and all of a sudden babies come along and you have to start thinking about a lot more. I think ladies are a lot more giving, a lot more generous, but guys, to make a success of whatever we’re going to do, we get into a rhythm. It’s such a change, your whole life goes one way and suddenly you’re told to stop in your tracks.”
Despite his concerns over lack of sleep and what Kate Middleton says, the future king might actually want four kids after all. “Prince William reportedly wants to follow Queen Elizabeth II’s footsteps by having four children,” one of William’s friends revealed. “He would love to emulate his grandmother and have four children, and he would be very happy if it was another girl,” they added. In addition, Closer Weekly noted that Kate also wants four children. “Kate’s always said she wanted four children,” a source told the publication.
Are Prince William and Kate Middleton pregnant with baby no. 4?
Since the birth of Prince Louis, royal family fans have wondered about a potential fourth child. And, some have even placed bets on the matter. Back in November 2018, the odds that Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis will have another sibling in 2019 were at 3/1 and the odds for further in the future were at 6/4, according to Bookies Coral. “Our odds show that there’s every chance that Kate and Wills might add to their growing family, and a fourth baby is certainly a possibility,” noted Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead. “We’ve taken some bets over the last two weeks or so on it and there’s a real buzz around the royal family at the moment with Meghan expecting.”
Will Prince William and Kate Middleton add a sixth member to their family of five? Only time will tell.
