Prince William’s Recent Life Advice to Prince Harry and Meghan Shows He Cares and Misses the Sussexes
Being a member of the royal family sounds like a dream come true for just about anyone, but when you ask the family members themselves, they will tell you that it is anything but easy. Senior royals constantly find themselves in the spotlight whether they want to be or not, and there are always so many rumors circulating that it is next to impossible to always know exactly what is true.
Adding to the difficult situation is the fact that the royals have virtually no privacy, something that Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex experienced more than anyone. The couple wanted nothing more than a quiet life for themselves and their one-year-old son, Archie Harrison, and no matter what they did, they couldn’t get it.
Things got so hard for Meghan and Prince Harry that they packed up and left England altogether, although we really can’t say that the situation has gotten any easier. Here is why Prince William reportedly advised Prince Harry to move back to London.
Prince Harry’s move to LA
Prince Harry was born and raised in London, England, and many fans most likely expected that he would live there for his entire life. Shortly after he and Meghan got married, they surprised everyone by leaving Kensington Palace and settling into their new home in Windsor, England.
Unfortunately, the duke and duchess didn’t find the privacy that they were looking for, and it was shortly after that they announced they would be resigning from royal duties. After spending some time in Vancouver, the couple decided to make the move to LA, where Meghan was born and raised.
According to the Washington Post, their move didn’t come without its fair share of criticism, with many people saying that they would never find what they were looking for while living in California.
Meghan and Prince Harry still don’t have the privacy they want
Ever since Meghan and Prince Harry relocated to their new home, they are finding that they don’t have the privacy that they came to LA to find. While they likely knew that they wouldn’t be able to fade into the background completely, the duke and duchess are finding that they are constantly being watched, even though they had taken all measures to protect themselves from this happening.
According to Vogue, privacy has become quite a concern for Meghan and Prince Harry, with drones flying over their home, and constant unwanted attention from photographers. In fact, they had to put privacy screens around their property to stop people from trying to get a glimpse inside.
Why Prince William reportedly advised Prince Harry to move back to London
It is true that older brothers always look out for their younger siblings, especially for Prince William and Prince Harry. So, why did William advise his brother to move back to London?
Apparently, the Duke of Cambridge knows Prince Harry is not having an easy time living in California, and naturally, he wants what is best for him. Prince William is well aware as to just how invasive photographers can be, and he understands that Harry is looking for a peaceful life.
According to US Weekly, Prince Harry has been speaking to his older brother quite a bit, looking for the support and compassion he needs during this difficult time.
Meghan and Prince Harry don’t have it easy, even in LA, and Prince William only wants what is best for them. He feels that LA isn’t the safest place for the Sussexes to be living right now, and would prefer to see them move back to London for their own well-being.
“William’s advised Harry to return to London or move elsewhere, somewhere safer,” an insider told US Weekly. “He’s concerned about his brother’s well-being and safety.”
As a protective big brother, Prince William likely wants Prince Harry to be safe. He also reportedly misses Prince Harry and Meghan.
“The Sussexes are free to get on with their new lives [and] the Cambridges can get back to their old lives without all the upset and drama that was clearly a big deal behind the scenes,” royal expert Katie Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight. “I think Kate and William miss Harry and Meghan to a degree, but certainly they miss Harry [being] around and part of their lives.”
