Princess Diana’s Butler Reveals Why Prince William and Harry Will Never Split Up

Prince William and Prince Harry have been the subject of many tabloids rumors over the past year. Various publications have claimed that they are not on speaking terms, that they have been fighting for months, and that they chose to split their households because they didn’t see eye to eye on anything anymore.

Royal fans who have always loved the duo have been wondering how much truth is to the rumors and whether or not Prince Harry and Prince William have really hit a rough patch in their brotherly relationship.

A recent interview with Princess Diana‘s former butler helps to shed some light on the real story between the brothers.

Prince Harry and Prince William went through a lot of trauma

It was big news when Prince William was born to Prince Charles and Princess Diana in 1982. The young heir to the throne was in the spotlight from the moment he was first photographed.

When his brother, Prince Harry arrived, Prince William received a built-in best friend. The two brothers were raised side by side and were remarkably close from the earliest days of childhood. Princess Diana was a doting mother and took her boys all over, including to such “non-royal” places as McDonald’s.

When Prince Charles and Princess Diana went through their bitter divorce in 1996, the brothers got to see the uglier side of human relationships. Bouncing back and forth between their parents, they were privy to Princess Diana’s sadness as well as the truth of Prince Charles’ affair.

Then, when Princess Diana was tragically killed in a car crash in 1997, Prince William and Prince Harry were devastated – and through it all, they grew even closer together.

The brothers both have families now

Prince William married his longtime girlfriend, Kate Middleton, in 2011, and they now have three small children together. The eldest brother is busy with the day to day responsibilities of raising a family as well as preparing to be king. Prince Harry also has a new family, as he married Meghan Markle in May 2018 and the two just welcomed a baby son.

The press has continued to push the idea of a royal rift between the two, mainly stemming from Prince Harry’s rather hasty courtship of Meghan Markle. The truth of it is, Prince William and Prince Harry are adults now and although they will have disagreements, just as every family does, they will never drift too far apart.

They will always defend each other when necessary

In early July 2019, as a response to the ongoing reports of fighting between Prince William and Prince Harry, Princess Diana’s former butler, Paul Burrell, spoke out. Burrell claimed that Princess Diana’s death cemented them together in a way that nothing else had, and that no matter what happens, nothing will ever really split them up.

Burrell, who was a close royal insider for 10 years, went on to describe how up until Princess Diana’s death, Prince William and Prince Harry were very individual people, but having shared the pain of such a deep loss, they have grown even closer.

Burrell concluded his interview by stating that Prince Harry always wanted a family of his own, and now that he has one, the two families will probably grow even closer than ever.

Burrell’s statements seem to be confirmed by recent sightings of Meghan Markle and baby Archie Harrison having a fun day date with Kate Middleton and her children – proving false another rumor that the two duchesses don’t get along.
