Proof Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Are Just Like All Struggling Parents

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently welcomed their son, Archie Harrison, back in May and many people are already excited to see how the two first-time parents are coping.

While they are surely privileged, upper-class people who can afford help for their family, Prince Harry and Markle are still very similar to other parents out there. Read on below to see the ways in which the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are relatable in their struggles.

Prince Harry and Markle are learning just how much responsibilities parenthood involves. Even though sources close to the couple have shared that they are nothing short of blissful and happy, it’s still a lot of work.

Reportedly, Prince Harry and Markle are trying to figure out how to make things work for their family. These days, Markle is in charge of breastfeeding while Prince Harry takes care of changing Archie’s diapers as well as making food for guests.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are sleep-deprived

Not long after Markle gave birth, Prince William congratulated Prince Harry on the new addition to their family, saying: “I’m very pleased and glad to welcome my brother to the sleep deprivation society that is parenting!”

Prince William and Kate Middleton have three young children, so they definitely know a thing or two about what parenthood is like. And it seems that Prince William was correct — Prince Harry has been losing sleep to take care of Archie. Prince Harry once told reporters that he only had “about two hours sleep.”

And at the annual Trooping the Colour celebration, fans noticed that he did not look too happy, with many people believing that it was the sleep deprivation getting to him.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have to deal with other people’s opinions

Like any parent, Prince Harry and Markle are beginning to experience what it’s like to have people share unsolicited opinions about their parenting style. Unfortunately, because they are one of the world’s most famous couples, they will have to put up with this more so than most average people.

There have been examples of this already. Even before Archie was born, reports started coming out about Prince Harry and Markle possibly trying to raise their child as a vegan. It’s something that they believe will be good for their kid, but sources say that Queen Elizabeth was not happy to hear about this because hunting is a big tradition in the royal family.

Meanwhile, members of the public have shared their thoughts about other things, like the way Markle holds Archie. When she was spotted at a polo match a few weeks ago, people thought that the way she held him was “awkward” and “uncomfortable.” However, parenting experts defended her, saying that she was not actually doing anything wrong.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are learning who to trust with their baby

A big part of parenting is worrying about one’s baby whenever they are with a stranger. Prince Harry and Markle seem to be struggling to understand who they can trust to take care of Archie in a way that the couple agrees with.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been making headlines for losing two nannies in the span of fewer than two months. It’s not clear what exactly the reasons are — some believe that Markle is “difficult” to work for – but at the heart of it, there are signs that the couple simply has not found someone they are confident enough in. They seem to still be looking for a nanny who can accompany them on the trip to Southern Africa in the fall.
