The show follows its hosts, better known as the Fab Five, Jonathan Van Ness, Karamo Brown, Bobby Berk, Tan France, and Antoni Porowski week after week as they change the lives of people who drastically need makeovers. And by makeovers, we don’t just mean their outward appearances. These people undergo complete life transformations and get to the root of what’s been blocking them from thriving in the past.

One of the most magnetic parts of the show is the cast. Each of them is so different and yet they all feel like they are our best friends. With every episode of the show, each of the Fab Five opens up more and more and allows us deeper into their lives.

One thing that the men don’t talk about so much is their relationships. France and Berk mention that they are each married throughout the seasons, but we don’t get much more than that. So, who are these guys in relationships with?

Tan France

Tan is married to his husband, illustrator Rob France. The two met over ten years ago when Tan was still living in NYC. Shortly after beginning his relationship with Rob, he decided to move to Utah to be with him.

“We started to date and then, yeah, I realized he was the one very shortly after that,” he told The Salt Lake Tribune last year. “So I planned on Utah being my home.”

The two come from very different religious backgrounds but instead of this driving a wedge between them, it brings them closer together.

“It made it easier to date somebody who had similarities to me,” Tan told the New York Post of their religions. “I don’t drink alcohol, I don’t smoke. We practice some of our religions’ practices. We don’t practice them all. We practice what works for us.”

For seven years, Porowski dated director Joey Krietemeyer. The two lived together and were “basically married.” Krietemeyer is even the one who helped Porowski come out to his family.

“[My father] made a comment driving me to the airport that I certainly lead a very discreet life,” the foodie told GQ of the moment. “I’m on the plane on the tarmac like, ‘Well, if the plane crashes, I’m going to die and he’s never going to know.’ I decided to send him an email. Because I was living with Joey, my boyfriend now, I wrote my father a very short email: ‘You brought this up. I think it’s time I tell you: I love. I am loved. His name is Joey, and we live together.’ That was it.”

Now, Porowski is in a new relationship with Trace Lehnhoff. The two reportedly met on Instagram.

Jonathan Van Ness

Van Ness is currently single. He was formerly dating Wilco Froneman, who he introduced to his Instagram in 2018 but the couple broke up a few months later. The hair guru announced the split on Instagram.

“She taught me love, she taught me patience, how she handles pain, that s—s amazing,” he wrote. “I’ve loved and I’ve lost but that’s not what I see because look what I found ain’t no need for searching, rounding out my 2018 with a very gorg THANK U NEXT. #selflove.”

Bobby Berk

Berk has been with his husband Dewey Do for a whopping 14 years, which he jokes on the show is a lot longer in “gay years.”

Do is a maxillofacial surgeon and the two live in Los Angeles together.

Karamo Brown

Culture expert Brown has been with his boyfriend, director Ian Jordan for eight years. He introduced Jordan to his Instagram fans in March.

“With my partner of 7 (almost 8) yrs at the @humanrightscampaign Gala,” he wrote. “Over the years we’ve received so many racist comments from people who disapprove of us being in an interracial relationship. But ignorance will never win when love and kindness are leading the way. Wishing everyone the same happiness and joy that we have!”

Brown has two sons, Jason and Chris.
