‘Real Housewives of New York’: Could Sheila Rosenblum Join the Cast for Season 12?

The Real Housewives of New York could potentially have a new castmate come Season 12, that is if Ramona Singer has her way. Rumors have been swirling that the reality TV veteran would like to freshen up the series, and adding a friend to the mix might help her do just that. Singer is well known in Manhattan’s social circles, and thus she’s developed some pretty interesting friendships. One such friend is Sheila Rosenblum. The socialite and business-savvy former model could be tapped to join the RHONY cast.

Ramona Singer is allegedly looking to add a friend to the cast

Ramona Singer might be spending the off-season attempting to add her friend Sheila Rosenblum to the cast of the Real Housewives of New York. Rosenblum is a former Ford model who was also a ballerina. The shrewd businesswoman owns a pretty prominent horse stable and is rumored to have taken her ex-husband for additional millions after he failed to sign the divorce papers in a timely manner, according to Reality Tea.

Singer and Rosenblum are friends, and Singer happens to have some sway on the show. She has been a part of the cast since Season 1. Now, it looks like she’s potentially using that sway to bring friends into the fold while casting those she doesn’t like off the show. Rosenblum might be added to the cast if Singer gets her way, but that would include casting Tinsley Mortimer aside.

Allegedly Rosenblum has one requirement to join the cast; she wants her horse stable featured on the show. Rosenblum would add an additional business element to the show that might interest fans, so adding the stable to the storyline isn’t necessarily a bad idea.

Could Tinsley Mortimer be cut from the RHONY cast?

Rumors have been swirling for the last two months that Tinsley Mortimer would be fired at the end of Season 11. Mortimer’s storyline on Real Housewives has primarily centered around her dating life. Mortimer met Scott Kluth, the CEO of CouponCabin. The pair were introduced by a RHONY castmate. They have since parted ways.

Mortimer, a Columbia University graduate, joined the cast in 2017. Before becoming a Real Housewife, Mortimer served as a contributor to several magazines, as well as a beauty ambassador for Christian Dior. Mortimer is also the author of Southern Charm, a novel.  She had previously appeared on the now-defunct show, High Society.

According to Celebrity Insider, Mortimer is not off the show, at all. In fact, rumors are swirling that she’s currently filming test shots with a potential new addition. Inside sources claim the new addition may be a younger woman, but Bravo hasn’t shared any information.

Bravo is staying quiet on potential casting changes

Bravo is allegedly a long way from finalizing any casting changes for the Real Housewives of New York franchise. The reunion special for season 11 hasn’t even aired yet. The first installment of the two-part reunion will air on July 11, with the second installment airing the following week.

Once the reunion special is out of the way, Bravo may become a bit more loose-lipped, but until then, they won’t be discussing any potential casting changes. In fact, network brass likely hasn’t even begun to discuss it, according to Page Six. That doesn’t mean Singer hasn’t been busy jockeying for the addition of her friend, while simultaneously making moves to get Mortimer axed.
