Season 10 of Real Housewives of New York has been very explosive with Luann De Lesseps getting arrested and Bethenny Frankel getting into arguments with pretty much the whole cast. The one feud in particular that people were shocked by was her argument with friend Carole Radziwill.
But she also had a big moment with Dorina Medley this season. Medley has opened up about the situation and her side of things. She also revealed who is the cast member who gets the best edit on the show. Here are seven things you should know.
1. Dorinda Medley said Frankel calling her a drunk was hurtful
- Medley addresses Frankel’s accusation that she is a drunk.
Things got weird between Medley and Frankel this season and when Medley drunkenly embarrassed Frankel at a dinner. Frankel later set her aside and said, “You go to a 16 out of 10 and I need to really say it to you — the way that you sometimes treat me is worse than [co-star Ramona Singer], I just cut you slack because you’re a drunk.” Medley claimed she just had a bad night, but later talked about the accusation.
“It was very hurtful, and it was mean, and it was unnecessary,” she told ET. “Every season, she has to label someone. ‘You’re a wh*re. You’re a loser. You’re a drunk. You’re dead to me.’”
She then continued, “I actually thought it was ridiculous and I think people are kind of getting sick of that.” She also added, “But I think it did what she wanted it to do, which was make an impact and get her on TV.”

2. Medley said she was drinking because she was sad
- The reality star said she was drinking for a reason.
The reality star denied having a drinking problem by saying “I happened to get drunk.” But she did give a reason for why she drank so much.
“One of the reasons why I was drinking away my sorrows was, I was really sad last fall,” she told ET. “I was going through something. I had realized [my daughter], Hannah, had moved out, that job was over. I was in my 50s, you know, I’ve been a wife twice — that job’s over. What do I do now?”

3. Medley said Radziwill spoke her truth to Frankel this season
- Medley said their strong relationship might change.
Radziwill and Frankel’s rift in their friendship put them at the focus of this new season. Medley weighed in by saying Radziwill spoke her truth.
“She’s a very strong woman and she likes to speak the truth,” Medley told ET. “This year, she was like, dammit, I’m gonna speak the truth. Listen, they had a very strong relationship, a very close relationship, but sometimes, as I said to both of them, things change. Doesn’t mean the friendship’s over.”

6. Medley followed up to say all the women are successful

I don’t want the audience to forget that our lives didn’t start on reality TV, like some of us, we had big big lives before that.”
