The Real Reason Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Move To Frogmore Cottage Has Been Delayed
Meghan Markle might be on maternity leave –awaiting the arrival of Baby Sussex, but the Duchess of Sussex hasn’t exactly had time to relax just yet. Markle and Prince Harry were set to move into their new estate in Windsor -Frogmore Cottage, but it looks like they will be still living in their 2-bedroom flat Nottingham Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace for at least three to four more weeks.
Since Markle is set to give birth in about three to four more weeks, renovations are really running up against the wire. This is why the duke and duchess’ move to Frogmore Cottage has been delayed.
The real reason Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s move to Frogmore Cottage has been delayed
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry won’t be able to settle into Frogmore Cottage until a week before Baby Sussex’s arrival. Apparently, the duke and duchess have continued to make changes on the estate’s exterior which has caused quite a bit of drama for the construction team. A royal insider told The Sun, “It’s been all hands to the pump. The builders have worked all week whatever the weather. But they keep making changes, particularly on the layout.”
Transforming Frogmore from apartments for royal staff into a massive home has been an enormous undertaking. The Sun reports, “The cottage will feature a yoga studio with a special floor, an elaborate Gone With The Wind-style double staircase to replace the hotchpotch of stairs crisscrossing the interior, and new grand fireplaces in principal rooms.”
Inside Frogmore Cottage
Frogmore Cottage will be perfect for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. In addition to the 10-bedrooms –one which will be occupied by Markle’s mom Doria Ragland, the home also has a yoga studio, gym, and of course, Baby Sussex’s nursery. Entertainment Tonight reports,
Frogmore, which is on the grounds of the queen’s Windsor Estate, has 10 bedrooms and will include an eco-friendly green energy unit as well as two conservatory extensions and extensive landscaping so baby Sussex will have privacy. The couple is really excited about the impending birth. Windsor was the perfect fit for Harry and Meghan. The 10-bedroom house has more space for children when they expand their family and of course has a special place in their hearts.
