As Meghan Markle’s due date is fast approaching, more reports about the newest royal arrival are out every day. Meghan Markle’s due date is coming this spring

When Kensington Palace made the first official announcement that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were expecting, the only due date information they gave was “spring.” It hasn’t been a lot to go on, as this ranges between March and the end of May, with some reports guessing that Markle will give birth in April and others believing it will be May.

Now that we’ve crossed over into March, the Baby Sussex birth watch really kicks into high gear as Markle’s due date is bound to be coming up soon.

Why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s baby will cost more

Interestingly, a price hike in birth certificates means that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s baby will cost just slightly more than other royal babies. Yes, it’s a small price difference, but worth a mention, as the General Register Office of England and Wales increased the price of birth certificates beginning in February 2019.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex as well as other new parents in 2019 will pay £11 per copy for a birth certificate, up from £4, which was the cost before now. This is the first price increase for birth certificates in nine years.

When will fans see Baby Sussex’s birth certificate?

Those awaiting the first look at Baby Sussex’s birth certificate will have to wait a few weeks following his or her birth date. Prince William and Kate Middleton shared the birth certificates for their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, so it’s believed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will do the same.

In addition to seeing the official details of Baby Sussex, many fans will be on the lookout to see if the birth certificate lists Markle’s occupation as “Princess of the United Kingdom” like Middleton.

Where will Markle give birth to Baby Sussex?

One question fans have been eager to get an answer to is where Markle will give birth to their new arrival, with a recent report noting that staff at the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital were advised not to take holiday in April.

Kate Middleton, Princess Diana, and Princess Anne all welcomed their babies in the hospital’s Lindo wing, but many wonder if Markle will break with tradition for her birth plan. There have also been reports that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will have their baby at an American hospital, but no hospital plans have yet been publicly confirmed for the couple.

Additionally, it’s been reported that the couple may not pose for the press in the hours after the baby’s birth, as others have done before them.
