Revealed: Prince Harry’s Biggest Fear About Becoming a Father
Becoming a parent is a frightening prospect. There is no way to adequately prepare for all the way it changes you – in good and unimaginable ways. Even being a member of the British royal family doesn’t make you immune from these pressures. It may even make them worse – after all, any mistakes or mishaps will
Of course, there is no single right way to be a parent. As long as the royal couple shows their child love – which they surely will – then he or she will almost certainly thrive. However, Prince Harry recently revealed his biggest concern about becoming a father, and it’s a valid fear that many parents share.
Prince Harry is going to be an amazing father
Anyone who spends a moment with Prince Harry can easily see he’s going to be a fantastic father. For one thing, he’s naturally good with children, including his niece and nephews and even with
Second, it’s obvious that the Duke of Sussex plans on being involved in his child’s life more than some other British royal family members. Prince Harry is a feminist now – he’s not planning to leave child-rearing to his wife. He’ll be changing diapers and feeding bottles just as much as Meghan.
He’s worried about this one thing
Of course, even with all the money and security in the world, there are some things that are out of Prince Harry’s control as a father. Like the state of the world we live in.
Prince Charles and Prince Harry both expressed similar concerns during a recent appearance together. During his speech, Harry got his point across by discussing his fatherhood concerns. “As someone who is about to become a father, I am acutely aware of our shared responsibility to make this world more resilient and its inhabitants more accountable for the next generation. The only way to see real progress is not by chance, it’s by change.”
Prince Charles had similar words about preserving the planet for future generations. “I am about to have another grandchild actually. It does seem to me insanity if we are going to bequeath this completely polluted, damaged and destroyed world to them. All grandchildren deserve a better future.”
Is there anything else Prince Harry is afraid of?
Focusing on the big picture might seem noble. But don’t be surprised if these large concerns take a backseat to more pressing matters once the baby arrives. Like sleeping through the night and teething.
Still, it’s commendable that Prince Harry is thinking about what sort of world his son or daughter will inherit. The state of the Earth is something that all parents and grandparents must make an effort to preserve for future generations, royal or not.
