Revealed: This Is What Prince William and Kate Middleton Do When Their Children Go to Bed
We all know Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, are parents to three adorable children. The royal couple has always said they would like Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis to have a normal childhood. The duke and duchess like to do normal, everyday things themselves in their downtime as well.
Here’s what the prince and Middleton said they do at night once their little ones are fast asleep.
House rules for Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis
Just because the Cambridge kids are royals doesn’t mean that they don’t have a set of rules to follow at home. William and Middleton are very hands-on when it comes to raising their kids and have some rules in place for their little ones.
One important rule in their house is that their children be open and honest when it comes to expressing their emotions. While being a royal kid certainly has its perks, things won’t always be easy as they live their lives in the public eye. Therefore, the duke and duchess want to make sure George, Charlotte, and Louis know to talk to them about how they’re feeling.
Before Prince Louis was born, William spoke to CALMzine about how he and his wife have already taught their older children about having an open dialogue with them.
“Catherine and I are clear that we want both George and Charlotte to grow up feeling able to talk about their emotions and feelings,” he said.
They also have been teaching their kids how to do everyday things around the house like cooking. The Mirror noted that the Duchess of Cambridge has been teaching her children how to make their own food. She decided to start showing them this because they already love helping out in the kitchen and have a had a hand in making homemade pizza and cheesy pasta.
William and Middleton like for their children play outdoors whenever the weather permits. And as for TV watching, that’s not off-limits since they watch programs together as a family.
What the duke and duchess do after the kids are asleep
While the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge watch family-friendly shows with their kiddos they also enjoy more grown-up programming after their children go to bed at night.
For example, during an interview with BBC’s Radio 1 in 2017, the couple explained that watching box sets is their favorite evening activity.
After being asked if they watched The Crown, William responded, “A few people have asked me about that. No, we are both actually quite keen on box sets when we have time in the evening.”
Middleton then added, “Yes, when we put the kiddies in bed.”
Some of the shows they’re fans of include Homeland and Game of Thrones.
