Real Housewives of Atlanta star Eva Marcille has been on the show for three seasons now but apparently hasn’t gotten the hang of how reality television works. The former model and actress has a habit of making shady remarks towards her castmates and then denies she ever said such when confronted. Despite everything being on camera, the mother of three insists she doesn’t remember half of what she says.
Her co-star, Kandi Burruss, recently reveals how she feels about Marcille constantly back-peddling on the statements she makes.
Eva Marcille makes shady remarks about Porsha Williams personal life
The drama all began following the reveal party Kenya Moore had for her daughter, Brooklyn. Moore invited all of her castmates and their children. All attended, including Marcille, who opted to leave her children at home.
When asked by her co-stars why she didn’t bring her two children to the event, Marcille responded that it would be her first time hanging out with Moore and wanted to ensure the “energy” was safe before she brought her children around. She also mentioned that historically, cast events could get out of control.
Her cast members were perplexed, especially because it was an event for children. Williams took the information back to Moore – who became offended by Marcille’s remarks.
When Marcille was told by Kandi Burruss and Cynthia Bailey about Moore’s reaction, Marcille was pissed – mainly at Williams for relaying the information in the first place.
Marcille then went on a rant about Williams. She told Burruss and Bailey that she could forward Williams blogs about the misdeeds of her fiance, Dennis McKinley, so she could worry about that instead of worrying about her. She also made comments about Williams being messy despite not being properly healed from her c-section. Ouch.
Eva Marcille denies making the comments about Porsha Williams
Burruss relayed Marcille’s comments to Williams during a lunch with friend to the show, Marlo Hampton. Williams was taken off-guard about the nature of Marcille’s comments, especially because she said that Marcille had been supportive of the difficulties she was experiencing in her relationship with her fiancé.
On a cast trip to Toronto, Williams decided to confront Marcille while they all enjoyed a night out on the rooftop. She started by saying she considered Marcille a friend and part of her “village” and was deeply hurt by her comments. Williams felt Marcille went below the belt.
“That was definitely not what I said,” Marcille responded. “I did not say anything about forwarding a blog. Porsha, I am sitting here telling you, in front of her, with her, that that wasn’t the case.”
Williams didn’t believe her and Burruss was there to confirm that Marcille indeed made the remarks. Marcille offered up an apology.
“At the end of the day, despite what was said, I never intended to hurt your feelings,” she said. “Hurting your feelings, I apologize because that was never my intention, at all.”
Kandi Burruss says she’s “scared” Eva Marcille doesn’t remember comments she’s made
Since Burruss was the person who was told her side of the story that Marcille denied, she addressed Marcille’s convenient amnesia on her weekly YouTube vlog, Speak On It. Ironically, she actually believes that Marcille has a hard time remembering a lot of comments she makes during her rants she’s become famous for.
“I think in her heart of hearts, she really believed that she didn’t say it, which makes me believe, okay, she says things and doesn’t remember what she says, which is a little bit scary for her,” Burruss said.
Burruss added that she believes Marcille puts herself in tough situations to defend and has a tendency to “word vomit” when she’s upset. But many aren’t believing Marcille’s excuses about forgetting what she says, especially since she’s been on the show for three seasons now and should be adept to how filming works. Burruss agrees and admits it’s difficult for her to understand Marcille’s method.
“I don’t really know because we’ve had her in multiple situations where she’s claimed that she did not say something and then it comes back and you know, most of the time she be done said it, so it’s just kind of like, is this a habit? I don’t even know what to rule this to,” she said.
Burruss says that though she likes Marcille, she doesn’t necessarily trust her and second-guesses most of what Marcille says.
