‘RHOA’: Is Cynthia Bailey Going to Postpone Her Wedding Amid COVID-19 Pandemic?
Coronavirus (COVID-19) has been changing pretty much everything. There are no sports being played, television shows are pausing production, restaurants are closed, and people aren’t gathering in large groups anymore. This latter stipulation has been an extremely hard pill to swallow for upcoming brides, many of whom have had to reschedule their weddings. Cynthia Bailey of The Real Housewives of Atlanta recently got engaged to her boyfriend Mike Hill and has been planning her wedding. But will the event need to be postponed amid the pandemic?
Who is invited to Cynthia Bailey’s wedding?
Bailey has had a number of run-ins on RHOA. Her biggest falling out was with her former best friend, Nene Leakes. The two have tried to reconcile a number of times but have never been able to get back to where they were previously.
“We are in a way better place than we were last time you guys saw us at the reunion, that’s for sure,” Bailey told HollywoodLife earlier this year. “First of all, I don’t want to speak for her. I wouldn’t say that we’re friends. We’re definitely not like we used to be, but I think we’re in a good place. I think we’re in a cordial, respectful place. If I see her, if I walk out of this studio now and I see her, I will absolutely run up to her and say hello. — Maybe not run, but I would say hi. I would speak if I saw her, and I’m good.”
Though they aren’t on the best of terms, Bailey is planning on inviting Leakes to the wedding. In fact, she wants all of her RHOA women to be there.
“Honestly, I want to extend a [wedding] invite to all of the ladies on the show,” she told the outlet. “I think one of the things that we do share a bond with, for the most part, is everybody wants to be happy. Everybody wants to be in love, the ladies that want to have babies want to have babies. I think that regardless of where I am in the relationship with NeNe, I think in her heart she’s happy for me that I found Mike.”
Will Cynthia Bailey postpone her wedding?
The United States has been encouraged to continue social distancing until at least April 30, but no one knows if that deadline will be extended or not, making it hard to plan for later in the year.
“[Coronavirus] has affected it of course,” she told HollywoodLife on another occasion. “I’ve spoken to my event planner and the venue, just to have the conversation, because we don’t know what’s going on. See, I’m kind of hesitant to even send out the invites right now to be honest, because I just don’t know.”
“We always thought 10/10/20 was the perfect date,” she continued. “I’m like 2020, let me tell you something. I owe 2019 an apology.”
Bailey is considering rescheduling her wedding but isn’t sure how she would even go about it.
“In the event we need to change it or postpone the date, you know what does that mean?” she said. “Because we paid deposits and all that stuff already. We’re going to get married; whether it’s 10/10/20, not so sure about that.”
