When the former Miss USA beauty queen was interviewed by Wendy Williams, she revealed the reason Leakes and she stopped being friendly.

“I had a high-risk pregnancy, that I wanted my entire life, she never once called me,” Moore told Williams. “When I did show up, she never checked on my child. She never said, ‘Is everything okay?’ when she learned I wasn’t going to be on the show. She never said, ‘Are you okay girl, do you need anything?’ And then when she did see me eight months pregnant, she called me a monster and said that my child was a buffalo and she was hurling insults.”

It was at this moment where the alleged incident between the two occurred and one that will be seen on RHOA.

“She tried to act like she was going to spit on me,” Moore revealed saying that the OG of Atlanta was “hawking up” her saliva. “You will see that on the show.”

Nene Leakes denies spitting on Kenya Moore

A day after Moore visited The Wendy Williams Show, the host received a call from Leakes. The Bravo star heard about what her co-star said and wanted to clear the air of the rumors.

“After Kenya left, I’m on my way home commuting and the phone rings, who do you think it was? Nene,” Williams told her co-hosts the next day. “Nene’s like, ‘Wendy, I didn’t even watch, but my phone was blowing up. First of all, I didn’t spit in her face.’”

Williams told Leakes that Moore said she “hocked a loogie.”

“I told NeNe, ‘You’re my friend. Kenya’s a friend on the show,’” Williams continued. “Two totally different things. But NeNe was, she was nice, she took it like a champ. She understands our friendship is forged. But she also understands I got love for Kenya.”

Based on what Leakes and Moore said, there was an intent to spit, but the spitting never actually happened. Viewers will get to witness the encounter during the current season airing on Bravo now.

Is Nene Leakes quitting ‘RHOA’?

Fans that tuned in to catch the first episodes of season 12 noticed that Leakes was notably missing from the show. This was because the star had not signed a contract and was not sure she wanted to come back.

“After talking to my family, talking to my friends, and my team, you know, they encouraged me to go pick my baby up and rock my baby,” Leakes told Entertainment Tonight. “So, Housewives is my baby. And I really do wanna see it stay around for 10, 15, 20 years if we can.”

Leakes also talked about how certain housewives are vying for her crown as the queen of RHOA.

“These girls, to me, all seem to want to be the queen or the one that everybody thinks of when they say, ‘Housewives,’ and I don’t think that that’s possible,” NeNe offers. “I think there’s one queen and there’s a lot of princesses.”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs every Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
