It seems like everyone has an opinion about Porsha Williams’ relationship with her fiancé Dennis McKinley, including her family, friends, castmates, and The Real Housewives of Atlanta viewers. It hasn’t been an easy road for the new mom whose relationship troubles have been playing out on and off the show this season.
But Williams’ latest comments have some fans wondering if she needs more time to heal or if she should end things with McKinley.
The couple just got ‘re-engaged’
Williams revealed that McKinley cheated on her during her pregnancy and that was the reason for their breakup. For a time, it wasn’t clear if she’d be game to take him back, but the pair went to counseling and worked to move on.
Fans weren’t happy after McKinley said he cheated on Williams due to her pregnancy and post-partum depression, and he caught flak on social media for that attitude. Many didn’t want Williams to be so quick to forgive.
In December, Williams announced that she and McKinley had gotten re-engaged, and that wedding plans are underway. But the side-eye toward McKinley has not let up.
McKinley was called out by fans on social media for incident
Earlier this month, McKinley was spotted out at an Atlanta diner at 4:00 in the morning with four strange women. Williams was nowhere to be found, but another customer covertly filmed the rendezvous and posted it on social media.
In the video, McKinley was seen getting flirty with all of the ladies, but one of them was snuggling up on his shoulder. The video later went viral, and fans were calling out McKinley for cheating again. Williams didn’t comment on the issue, but her fiancé did with one simple statement: “Can I eat?”
Williams was coy about trust issues in her love life
For the past few weeks, Williams’ social media posts have been filled with photos of her baby Pilar Jhena, vacation snaps, and promos for her product lines. But she and her sister Lauren appeared on the Jan. 19 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, and Cohen was not shy about probing into her relationship status.
A playback reel showed a clip of McKinley apologizing to her family for cheating, and Porsha in a confessional discussing how significant it was that he cared enough to do that. Andy then asked, “Where are you two today?”
After Williams told him they’re working on their relationship, he followed up with, “Do you trust him?” She immediately replied with a “Huh? I think you ask that every time I come here.”
She added, “I think every relationship is a work in progress, we have a daughter together, and just pray for us. You pray for yourself, just add us in there too.”
Fans immediately took notice that Williams did not answer in the affirmative that she trusts her fiancé, and Andy continued to stir the pot by asking about the diner incident. Visibly irritated, Williams said she is just figuring her life out, and wants to leave it at that. She stated people can keep commenting, and reiterated this is where she stands.
