‘RHOBH’: Andy Cohen Comments on Who Could Replace Lisa Vanderpump on the Show

Unfortunately for Lisa Vanderpump fans, it has been confirmed that the restaurant mogul will be leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. But after the season that she’s had, who can really blame her?

Almost all of Vanderpump’s friends turned on her this season after rumors started spreading that Dorit Kemsley adopted a puppy from Vanderpump’s Vanderpump Dog Foundation, only to later drop it off at a shelter.

After falling out with the women on the show, Vanderpump reportedly refused to film with them and therefore was cut out of the remaining episodes of the season.

“Lisa is extremely hurt that several scenes that she filmed for RHOBH have been cut because it’s all about her philanthropy work which she loves to proudly show off,” a source close to the show told HollywoodLife. “She feels that since there’s no drama, they got cut, but she wants to show off that side of her life and is really disappointed that those scenes got cut because that’s a big part of her life as a real housewife.”

Who could replace Vanderpump on the show?

Since it was announced that Vanderpump would not return to the show, fans have been speculating about who could take her place. And when Kathy Hilton took a photo with Andy Cohen at a restaurant in Los Angeles on Friday, it didn’t take long for the rumor mill to get going.

But Monday, Cohen explained on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live what his meeting with Hilton was really about.

“Friday night after this long week in LA, we go out for an early dinner at Mr. Chow,” he said. “So who is at the table next to us but Kathy Hilton. Only in Beverly Hills, sweetie, does this happen.”

“Kathy was like, ‘Oh! We gotta take a pic. It’s hilarious that we’re running into each other.'”

After they took a picture, Cohen’s friend, Bruce Bozzi, posted it online with the caption “Sign on the dotted line… a true diamond 💎 in Beverly Hills,”

Though the caption seemed to confirm that Hilton would be joining the cast, Cohen put those rumors to bed.

“There have been absolutely no conversations about this possibility,” he said. “It was a funny, suggestive caption. All the reports were that I was taking her out to woo her to come on the show to replace Lisa. There is no replacing Lisa — let’s be clear!”

Can Vanderpump return to ‘RHOBH’?

Vanderpump was one of the OGs of RHOBH. In fact, she is one of the reasons that it even exists.

“It has been well documented that when we were developing The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, I was not totally sold on doing the show,” Cohen said on the radio show.

But Vanderpump quieted all of his concerns.

“When I saw Lisa Vanderpump on that casting tape, man, she was the one who really sold me on doing the show,” he continued. “I just wanted to see more of Lisa, and so did all of you. She is iconic, and I am so glad that we will continue to see more of Lisa in all of her glory on Vanderpump Rules… She will always be the Queen of Diamonds in the Bravo universe.”

He also said that the door was always open should the restauranteur want to return.
