‘RHOBH’: Camille Grammer Made Unaired Racist Comments on The Reunion, According to Denise Richards
When it comes to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, there’s never a shortage of drama. The latest saga surrounding the series has to do with some alleged comments made by Camille Grammer. Apparently, the television personality reportedly made racist remarks during the newest season that has people seriously upset. While the alleged comments did not make the final cut, Grammer’s co-star, Denise Richards is calling her out over them.
A closer look at the drama between Richards and Grammer
Richards took to Twitter on Aug. 2 to call out her co-star over the remarks she allegedly made at the reunion and throughout the latest season. The tweet came after Grammer suggested to a fan that the actress was “on something” during Richard’s latest appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
“@TheRealCamilleG needs to thank her lucky stars that bravo didn’t air some of her comments during the season and at the reunion. My youngest daughter’s biological father is African American I found some of her comments quite offensive,” Richards tweeted.
The tweet gives life to previous comments made by sources
A Us Weekly source said in July that Grammer had one “particularly bad moment” that the show cut. Her co-stars apparently brought it up during the reunion, which led to a blow-up. “[Grammer] said: ‘Do you want me to be sorry because I’m a white woman?’” the source recalled. “The other women were like, Camille, do you know what you are saying? That’s not OK,’” the insider continued.
Another source backed the claim that Grammer used an offensive term during the latest season. “It never aired,” the insider explained. “It was brought up [at the reunion] by Andy [Cohen] and the other women who criticized her, and that’s when she said that whole ‘Should I be sorry because I’m a white woman’ bullsh*t. That too didn’t air.”
The source said they believe that Grammer’s conduct could lose her spot on the show, explaining, “You still need to have ties to the other women to remain on the show and now she has none.”
But Grammer pushed back on the claims. She wrote back to Richards, “You tweet this and start a firestorm here on twitter then you ask to me lunch this week? I’m confused.”
Why did she allegedly make those comments?
It’s unclear what exactly set Grammer off during the reunion. But the source told Us Weekly that the other cast members, including Richards, had been slamming the 50-year-old throughout the taping.
“Camille was not doing well with the duress of the reunion,” the source explained. “She was basically melting down because she was under attack and [she] walked off once.”
Grammer opened up about the reunion herself, tweeting that she wished she’d never attended the event. “I showed up in good faith for #RHOBH reunion but I shouldn’t have gone,” she wrote on Twitter on June 6. “Hindsight is 20/20.”
Grammer has been dealing with a lot
“[She] has been under a great deal of stress,” an insider told Us Weekly. “Her house burned down, her son has been living with her ex-husband, Kelsey [Grammer], her beloved assistant passed away, her mother has been in and out of the hospital with cancer, [and] she had a federal trial in Dallas. She has had a great deal of pressure this year, and part of that manifested itself on the show.”
While there’s no doubt that Grammer has experienced some tough times, that’s definitely no reason to make mean remarks. Hopefully, the ladies will work out their issues soon.
