‘RHOBH’: Kyle Richards Says Reality Cast Members Are Not Queens

Kyle Richards from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills posted a photo wearing a crown with cast members Dorit Kemsley and newbie Sutton Stracke. Of course, the post, along with the comment caught fire on Instagram.

Richards captioned the Instagram image, “If the crown fits , wear it 👑.” Former cast member and friend, Lisa Vanderpump delivered a tagline about the “crown being heavy.” Both fans and cast members couldn’t help but comment.

Lisa Rinna and Kim Richards responded with crown emojis. Brandi Glanville, who will appear next season wrote, ‘While in Rome.” Kemsley’s husband snarked, “Clearly wasn’t that heavy …” But fans seemed angry. One fan responded to the comment with, “That’s right, because fake ones usually aren’t that heavy.” Others attacked Kemsley directly. “well she can afford a real one, can you and your wife? How’s the lawsuits coming.”

No queens on a reality show

Richards saw an article that was written about the post. She tweeted that no one on a reality television show should be considered to be a queen. “Anyone referring to someone on a realty show as a Queen needs a realty check. With all due respect. I am NOT a queen nor is anyone on any reality show. Let’s save the crown and the Queen title for people who actually earned that title.”

But fans pushed back and reminded her that Erika Girardi said that Richards was the queen of the show now that Vanderpump left. But Richards responded, “Yes. I still stand by what I said.”

Richards went onto explain the moment had nothing to do with Vanderpump either. “Thank you. As if we were even thinking about LVP in this moment,” Richards said in response to a favorable comment. But she added, “Omg. Wearing a crown in a store has NOTHING to do with any HOUSEWIFE. You do realize nobody on bravo is actually a Queen right ??

She continued to respond to the negative comments. “The fact that you think people on reality shows deserve ‘crowns’ is embarrassing. Ridiculous. Get a life.”

Lisa Vanderpump hosts her annual gala

Meanwhile, Vanderpump just finished hosting the fourth annual Vanderpump Dogs Fundraising Gala. The black-tie event was filled with celebrities and Bravolebrities. Animal Planet’s, Dr. Evan Antin was in attendance and so was celebrity stylist Chaz Dean.

Vanderpump Rules cast members were also in attendance. This included  James Kennedy, Raquel Leviss. Scheana Shay, Brittany Cartwright, Kristen Doute, and Tom Sandoval. A few Real Housewives were at the gala too. This included a surprising appearance by Kim Richards and Camille Grammer. Fans were taken aback after Grammer and Vanderpump seemed to have a falling out after their last season together. Plus, fans were especially curious about Richards, since Vanderpump and her sister are no longer friends.

A fan asked Grammer if she talked to Richards at the gala. “I didn’t see her. Lisa told me she was there but I didn’t see her. I was sitting with my daughter, my hubby and friends,” Grammer responded.
