‘RHOBH’: Lisa Vanderpump Has Shady Reaction to Kyle Richards Over Claims She’s Avoiding Her
BravoCon happened this past weekend in New York City and many fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills were expecting a Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards run-in. Some had hoped they both crossed paths to squash their beef and resume their friendship. Hopeful followers got the completely opposite as there’s still animosity between then and things don’t seem to be getting better.
RHOBH viewers are well aware that Vanderpump and Richards stopped communicating after the Puppygate incident. The latter accused the animal activist of leaking stories to the tabloids which offended Vanderpump who ended up quitting the show.
Since the infamous “Goodbye Kyle” moment, Richards and Vanderpump have had no contact but have had a few run-ins. During one of the BravoCon panels, Richards mentioned that she had seen Vanderpump at a restaurant.
“I’ve seen her twice in Neiman Marcus, and at a restaurant last week,” she revealed. “I said to the hostess, ‘Are you kidding me?’ Then we said, ‘Hello.’ I mean, ‘I said hello.’”
Richards let fans know that Vanderpump was less than enthusiastic of seeing her and it seemingly is true.
“That was just perfect for me,” Vanderpump told Us Weekly about the run-in with Richards. “It’s just when, if it’s a friendship, then you know, I wouldn’t experience what I experienced the year before. If it was a real friendship.”
Is Lisa Vanderpump avoiding former castmates?
Richards claimed that Vanderpump was avoiding her and her former castmates at BravoCon. Andy Cohen hosted a special Watch What Happens Live episode with all of the Bravo personalities at the fan convention. Vanderpump was a surprise guest when the cast of Vanderpump Rules appeared on stage.
After a brief interaction between Cohen and the cast members of Vanderpump Rules, there was a cut to commercials. Following the break, Cohen mentioned that Vanderpump had left.
There was ample time between the Vanderpump Rules appearance and the RHOBH cast. This gave Vanderpump enough time to leave the auditorium to avoid seeing Richards and the rest of the housewives.
“We were on different times. I was on with Vanderpump Rules. This is typical of Kyle — she would always sling something at me!” Vanderpump told People. “How could I run away from her? I’m with Vanderpump Rules. Bravo knows what they’re doing. They know where to schedule us and tells us where we’re going. So don’t flatter yourself, sweetie!”
Vanderpump echoed the same explanation to Us Weekly claiming at one point she was locked in her dressing room with no way to go outside.
“There was a minute that I was kind of locked in my dressing room and I’m wondering what was going on outside. But no, I didn’t see anybody,” Vanderpump told Us Weekly. “I mean, luckily for me, because coming here, that feel-good factor, it was fine. But no, Bravo probably arranged it so I didn’t have to. But I don’t know. You’d have to ask them.”
The beef between Vanderpump and Richards doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon. Vanderpump will return to television with Vanderpump Rules on Januar 7 while The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will air soon after that.
