‘RHOBH’ Ratings Continue to Rise Despite Fan Pushback

Fierce Lisa Vanderpump fans have insisted they are done with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Many have taken to social media to declare they have deleted the show from their DVRs and will no longer be watching.

But since this declaration was made, ratings seem to only be tracking higher. Bravo PR tweeted fresh numbers, asserting that last week’s episode ranked highest thus far. “The #RHOBH ladies bring the drama and the viewership! Last week’s episode was the highest-rated episode of the season-to-date among P18-49, delivering 1.43MM P18-49 (up +3% versus the prior week’s episode), 1.68MM P25-54, and 2.74MM total viewers.”

Fans didn’t seem impressed as a number of responses refuted the post. “Doubt those numbers very much- but good luck keeping any viewers if @KyleRichards gets her way and @LisaVanderpump quits! Show is basically unwatchable now,” one person shot back. “Thanks @TeddiMellencamp for ruining one of the great Bravo franchises!”

Fans promised a boycott

Fans vowed to stop watching the show when it became clear that the cast believed Vanderpump planted the whole “puppygate” story in the media. “Everybody needs to boycott #RHOBH get those other bitches fired. (Except Denise) there teaching women and children to bully and hate sisters, mothers, aunts, etc.. this is WRONG! This all started from a PUPPY HOW PETTY. But 2 hate LVP & kick her when she’s down with her brother!” one person posted to Twitter.

Fury was kicked up a notch after Kyle Richards kicked off the “Goodbye, Kyle” challenge. She posted videos shouting the same words that Ken Todd dramatically hurled her way after Richards fought with his wife. “I have just deleted from my DVR! All #RHOBH Thank you #MeanGirls for ruining my favorite show,” this Twitter user wrote.

Ratings didn’t seem to dip (but rose instead)

Bravo PR is closely tracking the ratings. After a mid-March episode, the group tweeted, “Big revelations on #RHOBH bring big ratings as last week’s episode ranks highest of the season-to-date and brings in 2.7MM total viewers.”

Each episode appears to be ranked higher and higher, according to the PR team. “Fans were all in for last week’s #RHOBH, making it the highest-rated episode of the season-to-date among P18-49 and P25-54, delivering 1.4MM P18-49 (up +8% versus the prior week’s episode), 1.7MM P25-54 (up +4%), and 2.7MM total viewers,” the team tweeted on April 12.

The ratings ante increased just this week. Bravo PR posted that the last episode (again) was the highest rated to date this season.

Fans insist ratings will dive if Vanderpump quits

Several people responded to the tweet with disbelief. “Hahahahaha. The numbers are down. Back in March you said 2.8 was the highest now 2.7? 2.8>2.7,” one person responded to the tweet. Another pointed out the overall viewership is down. “Terrific news w/ that demographic. But overall viewership was once again down.”

But others asserted that if Vanderpump walked away, Bravo would no longer have a show. “Trust me on this, will change as soon as LVP is no longer on it! Ppl still want 2 c her & the train wreck her so called friends have caused. As soon as she’s gone, “Poof”! So will most viewers! It’s sad u enjoy the drama/rating @ the expense of someone’s pain. It make u look petty.”
