The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 10 will look slightly different when it returns to Bravo sometime next year following the exit of Lisa Vanderpump. With production set to commence soon on the new season, there are already rumors around who is returning and who else is getting the ax. If it was up to the West Hollywood business queen she would fire three of the housewives.
Why Did Lisa Vanderpump Quit ‘RHOBH’?
Lisa Vanderpump practically quit in the middle of production of Season 9 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills shortly after former BFF Kyle Richards questioned her about the puppy drama being leaked to the press. The “American Woman” producer accused Vanderpump of tipping the media about how the rescue dog that Dorit Kemsley adopted ended up in a kill shelter.
The businesswoman wanted nothing to do with Richards nor any of the other ladies and refused to tape scenes with them for the most part. Vanderpump went missing with only sporadic scenes being shot after the meltdown with Denise Richards and Camille Grammer.
It was back in June of this year when Vanderpump opened up about the reason she quit the show.
“The last year was a very negative year for me,” she told Extra. “I feel like we’re moving forward. They have had their resolution. I just had a horrible time with the show and the women. It was a very sad time in my life and it wasn’t made any better. I just decided to walk away.”
On the night of the Season 9 finale, Vanderpump shared a video on Instagram with the following caption: “The Pump has left the building. Thank you to all of you for your support for 9 years.”
Denise Richards Is Returning As ‘Housewife’ For Season 10
As of right now, there’s only speculation of the housewives that are set to return, but Denise Richards let the cat out of the bag this past weekend when she confirmed that she was returning for a second season.
“All us girls prepping for Season 10 of ‘RHOBH’ be like…,” originally wrote on Instagram along with a video of a Barbie doll with a deformed face.
In the edited post, Richards then wrote: “Seeing this picture made me think of ‘RHOBH.'” The actress also added the hashtags, “My second season” and “Season 10.”
An insider close to the production of RHOBH confirmed to Us Weekly that Richards was indeed returning as a main cast member.
Lisa Vanderpump Calls For Firing Of 3 ‘Housewives’
Although Lisa Vanderpump claims to not want anything to do with RHOBH, she is still very much involved in the drama around the show. Fans of the reality show have stood by her and gone against the rest of the cast.
A viewer took to Twitter to exhibit the alleged lies that Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna and Teddi Mellencamp made in the series about Puppygate.
“RHOBH, season of lies and deception. They all need to go,” the viewer tweeted.
Vanderpump read the tweet and replied, “exactly,” implying that she would fire Kyle, Rinna and Teddi from Season 10 of the show.
Bravo Is Looking For Lisa Vanderpump Replacement
With a spot left wide open, Bravo is already looking for Lisa Vanderpump’s replacement. The feat will not be easy as she was a big character on the show and was an OG. Nonetheless, Us Weekly reports that the network is scouting for a new housewife to join the rest of the cast in Season 10.
“They are definitely looking at adding a new Housewife,” an insider told the publication also adding that the ladies will “start filming next month.”
