‘RHOBH’: This Is the One Housewife Lisa Vanderpump Misses And Wants a Relationship With
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills just isn’t the same without Lisa Vanderpump. In her time as a housewife, her name had almost become synonymous with the show. But all good things must come to an end and she officially left the franchise at the end of last season.
Throughout her tenure on the show, Vanderpump had built quite a few strong friendships. But as we saw last season, those all came crashing down. Does Vanderpump miss any of the women on the show and the relationships that she had with them?
What has Lisa Vanderpump been going through?
Vanderpump has had an extremely rough time the past couple of years. She recently lost her mother and her brother Mark committed suicide last year. Going into filming, Vanderpump knew that she wasn’t in the right headspace for the show, so she asked executive producer Andy Cohen if she could take a break.
“[Andy] said, ‘You know, I think we should’ve given you a year off when you asked for it,’” she once told Entertainment Tonight. “He said, ‘I don’t think you were in a mental state where you were really prepared to deal with it,’ it was very emotional … ‘With hindsight, we probably should’ve given you the year off.’”
“I wasn’t as prepared for combat as I should’ve been,” she said.
And this season proved to be one of Vanderpump’s toughest. After one of the dogs that Dorit Kemsley adopted from the Vanderpump Dogs Foundation ended up in a shelter, the entire cast turned on Vanderpump. She even lost one of her closest friends, Kyle Richards.
Why did Lisa Vanderpump leave the show?
When Vanderpump officially made the decision to leave RHOBH, people wondered why she would leave a franchise that she had become such a big part of.
Housewife Camille Grammer thought that Vanderpump left because of Brandi Glanville.
“She’s pissed about Brandi,” Grammer said at the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion.
“[She’s pissed] that Brandi showed up on the show,” she continued. “Absolutely. [Brandi]’s her archenemy. She feels so betrayed.”
“I’m just assuming and I could absolutely be wrong, but she felt that throughout this season, you’ve had her back, Denise [Richards]. And with you talking to Brandi — Brandi’s her archenemy.”
But ultimately, Vanderpump left to gain peace.
“I made the decision to leave,” she told Us Weekly. “It was a very difficult year for me, personally and professionally. I had wonderful things happen this year, opening up and TomTom and the cocktail garden in Vegas. The Housewives, it’s just, it’s emotionally too difficult to deal with.”
Who does Lisa Vanderpump miss from ‘RHOBH’?
Though Vanderpump was close with Richards for most of her time on RHOBH, that isn’t the relationship she wants to rebuild.
“With Denise, I really don’t know her very well, she was always really quite nice to me,” she told Us Weekly . “I heard — I didn’t watch the show — that she got caught up in nastiness against me at the end or whatever, but I didn’t have a relationship with her prior to the show.”
“I really wanted to rebuild it with Denise. I’m sure she’s a very nice woman,” she continued.
